  1. Nottingham hasn’t slowed down at all I did a factory restart and still blue screened. But when I went back a few hours later and ran it it worked fine. I’m starting to think it might be a hardware issue but don’t know where to start

Hello everyone, so just recently I have been getting the BSOD and it’s to the point where I go and boot up my pc and as soon as I sign in with my password I get a BSOD. So my question is would this be a be a hardware problem or a software problem? And if anyone else has had this problem what have you done to fix this? build: i7 8700k ROG z390-h gaming evga rtx 2070 corsair RGB vengeance 3000 MHz cooler master master air MA410P Windows 10 64 bit evga g2 750 watt psu ROG Strix Z390-H Gaming Bios 0805

    Help

So I’ve been doing some research to why my computer has been blue screening on me the past few hours and not only that. I was stuck in a boot loop on the windows recovery environment screen. I thought it might be because of a third party application, but I didn’t even have the “start up settings” option in the windows recovery menu. This all just started recently today. And I can’t tell if it’s my 2070 gpu or if it’s windows 10 OS. Super frustrating when all I want to do is just play a game or browse the web. please help ??? Sincerely frustrated/broken hearted gamer
  4. Windows 10 not sure which one, but was able to do a system restore back to the beginning of the month and everything seems fine.... So far (fingers crossed) But when I logged on to my computer today there was an update waiting for me.
  5. Hello techies! so is anyone else having issues with the newest windows update? I updated my computer and it’s been blue screen after blue screen. Now I am stuck in a windows recovery environment loop. I have tried system restoring and it took me to the home screen but shortly failed after seeing my screen for a mere 5 seconds. Thanks ??
  6. Do you know of any good monitoring software?
  7. Good day my favorite forum goers! I need some help figuring out a mystery. So about a month ago I built my pc, which was running great until last night. All the sudden while logging off of ARK my game/computer crashed. I tried force quitting, but nothing worked so I ended up just rebooting. Today I was playing some Overwatch. Around 30-45 minutes in , my game again crashes yet again, so once again had to reboot. I'd really like to crack down on this problem, but I could really use some help. I think it maybe an overheating issue or the fact that I am using a 4k 60 Hz monitor or a mixture of both. Also I don't know if this added information will help, but the reason why I think it is over heating ( which if it is I don't know why I would be having problems now) is that I only have 1 intake fan and directly behind that fan is my cpu tower cooler, and then 2 outtake fans. Sincerely, The broken hearted gamer ;( My build: motherboard: ASUS Z-390-H gaming CPU: i7 8700k Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz Cooling: Coolermaster MA410P PSU: EVGA G2 750 GPU: EVGA 2070 Case: NZXT H500
  8. Sorry I guess I should’ve started with specs i7 8700k ASUS Z390-H motherboard corsair vengeance RGB pro ddr4 3000MHz samsung ssd 860 evo pro EVGA RTX 2070 EVGA 750 G2 PSU Coolermaster MA410P I guess after I updated windows there was another long one that followed afterwards. So I decided to sleep on it and check on my computer in the morning. By the time I woke up and logged back in the driver appeared on my device manager. So maybe it was the second update that I had with windows.
  9. Trying that now fingers crossed ??
  10. Well I think I’ve sort of figured out the problem. For some reason the video display works with the gpu but, my computer is not detecting the gpu. I have tried installing the new driver and older ones and it keeps saying the “Nvidia graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows” I’m using windows 10 I’m not using anything older. So I have no clue what to do.

    Oh the lag

So question I tried to play Paladins on my newly built pc, but got massive lag as soon as I started up the game just at the log in screen it was horrible, when I actually found a lobby it was just bad. So my question is am I experiencing such bad lag and tearing because of the refresh rate of my monitor? I was thinking that my monitor was the problem but On my previous post, I was having problems with there being no display output through the gpu and had success when I plugged the display to the motherboard. (Recently fixed the problem by jumping the board) so could it be a gpu, monitor, or motherboard problem? Or all of the above? ?O_oo_O sincerely A first time builder
  12. So should I try jumping it? Before I jumped to conclusion of a dead gpu? And also another question do you think the power cord going to the gpu itself could be bad?
  13. I just looked in the device manager and it’s got the exclamation mark next to PCI device
  14. It’s an ASUS z390 H board
  15. If it’s the case that it happens to work on a different pc what do you think it could be?
  16. Clearing the bios? You mean like setting it back to default? I didn’t really change anything and it’s a brand new board if that’s what you mean.
  17. That’s also what I was trying to find in the bios is if I can see my gpu (if that makes any since) I’ll have to check my psu as well. Well this is poop brand new dead gpu. Thank you ?? for the advice
  18. Unfortunately this is the only system I have ??
  19. Omg!!!! Idk why I didn’t think of that!!!! Just tried it and it worked!!!! I guess the video card is dead then huh?
  20. So I just spent a few hours building my first pc today. It was working fine, it posted and I installed all the drivers. I reset my computer to go into the bios to make sure the temps and fans were running okay, and then all the sudden it shut down and resbooted back up itself except now I have no video input what so ever!!! It’s not my monitor and I don’t think it’s the motherboard. I’ve tried different Pcie slots and double checked to make sure no power cords were loose. Could it be that my gpu died suddenly? Please help sincerely broken hearted gamer ???
