  1. Hi Xorinzor, I have wired big networks with Cat 6a cables and placed Cat 5e patchpanels as we were not using 10GbE and computers and servers were less than 100m away from the patchpanel. Performance has never been affected at all in my case. If you are planning to use those Cat 6a for 10GbE in distances longer than 40m, definitely take the Cat 6a keystone or, otherwise, you'll be bottlenecking your network speed. However, if distances are shorter than 40m or you don't even plan to use 10GbE ATM, Cat 6 keystones would be fine, just keep in mind that you'll have to replace them in the future if you decide to use 10GbE for more than 40 / 50m.
