  1. If I'd a guess : That might be the graphics card fans you heard. Could be Vbios (so the bios of the graphics card) related. When it get corrupted, it can do theses things. Although most of the time, the screen goes black, the fans goes nuts, and the pc tries to restart without sucess. Could also be the PSU maybe? If you have another graphics card, it could be good to test with it. If you don't have any other, retire the 3060Ti, and watch thoses debug led to see if the pc is booting normally based on that, without any graphics cards. I don't think the entire pc is dead tho, far from it.
  2. Seems like some type of coil whine from the motherboard? Or maybe the pump of the AIO? Really odd tho.
  3. I'm sorry to hear all that. Do you have more specs for the ram? Frequency? Timings? What about your PSU? How about temps? How about cooling solution for you CPU?
  4. Watching for bluescreen error code could help to find the source of your issue.
  5. I would watch for CPU load while the game's running. Quadcore ain't that much nowadays.
  6. Not really. The noise can change or just stop. It's linked to the load changing on the CPU and/or GPU. Or your whole system, if it's your PSU. The intensity of a scene in a game for example can influence how the coil whine sound.
  7. Hi. Do you have any USB hubs connected ?
  8. Hi. Is it a built in wifi system into your motherboard? Is it a pcie device? Is it USB? What is the precise reference ?
  9. Hi, A B450 have Ryzen 1000 and 2000 native support. It is compatible with Ryzen 3000 and 5000, but only with newer bios versions. Normally, motherboards gets updated as new motherboard get released into the market. But if the motherboard is old enough and was stored on shelves for a good while, it wouldn't be surprising it's running an old version of a bios that's not compatible with Ryzen 3000. It would be pretty unlucky, but there's a chance. You might need an older Ryzen CPU or APU to double check that.
  10. Hi. When you say that, I'm assuming you only have 1 stick of ram inserted onto the motherboard. Is that correct ?
  11. Hi, I don't know if Corsair vengeance have/had the same issue, but I know a lot of old kits of Corsair vengeance LPX have issues with Ryzen.
  12. 7800XT would be a better value. It's constantly slightly faster than the 4070 in rasterised scenario, while being a bit cheaper and offering you extra vram. (12 for RTX vs. 16 for the RX) Saying that, AMD Radeon remain slower in raytracing performance, doesn't have a direct competition of AI reconstructive upscalers like DLSS (No, FSR isn't a direct competitor. That's why it's also effective.), and the H264 encoder is subpar. (Althought in AV1, they are virtually the same vs. NVIDIA) If any of thoses things is important to you, the 4070 isn't a terrible choice either.
  13. I'm not absolutly sure this 550W is enough for a 3060Ti tho. NVIDIA recommand 600W. (https://www.nvidia.com/fr-fr/geforce/graphics-cards/30-series/rtx-3060-3060ti/) And from experience, I tend to recommand going a bit above NVIDIA's PSUs recommandations, since a lot of users had troubles with the 3080 on 750W PSUs. Which is what NVIDIA recommands for that card. 30 series been known for power spikes, trigerring PSU's over current protection. So ya...
  14. Did you update your bios before putting that 5500 in there ? Seems like the 5500 require quote "Latest Beta BIOS" (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-GRENADE/support#cpu), so I'm guessing probably "7A39vAK4(Beta version)" or "7A39vAK2(Beta version)" at least. (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-GRENADE/support#bios)
  15. I don't know if thoses WHEA errors are the same as WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bsods. But WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR is definitly not a good sign for your CPU, or ram. I really can't say for sure, but it wouldn't be the first time I've seen Zen 2 CPUs dying randomly on the internet.
  16. 750W is definily on edge for a 3080, but getting a black screen right when a game starts... Maybe there's more to it. Problem is, if you can't eliminate/isolate something from thoses parts as faulty, it will be difficult to know for sure. The PSU need to be tested, and the graphics card too, in a way or another. Buying a 850W PSU could be a way to try to eliminate the PSU from the equation, but it's not a guaranteed result. Throwing the 3080 in a known fonctionning build, with a strong enough PSU, could also be helpful. But you need to start somewhere.
  17. It's probably coil whine. Can definitly get annoying, but it doesn't affect your pc in any bad ways. It can also come from your graphics card. Motherboards can also coil whine, but it's definitly more rare to have complains on that side. The noise changes, is due to the load changing on the CPU and/or GPU. So when your game is in the background, obviously it tend to consumes less resources on your pc (the game achieve that oftenly via a relativly low frame cap when you're not focusing on it), and when you're re-focusing on the game : Boom, full fps. As your fps increase, it will consumes more resources and so more power, which make thoses coils whine again. The intensity of a scene in game can also make the sound change, which is also a bit annoying. But again, it doesn't affect anything except yourself.
  18. Not worth it in my opinion, barely no uplift over the 6800XT, if not slower in some occasions. It's more like, a new positionning in the market vs. nvidia, and some features here and there. It's a good card, but only for people looking for a new build or upgrading older cards (like RTX 10 series/20 series / RX 5000 series / RX Vega...). Keep your money for newer generations in the future with an actual uplift in performance. Your 6800XT gonna keep banging for few years.
  19. Ultimately, they are two different ranges and two different price class. You have to make a choice based on your budget and performance target at this point. In my strict opinion, you'll be fine with a 7800XT looking at what you want to do with it. And it's a good value.
  20. No real differences. Getting +100mhz core isn't that much, so you could just overclock the gigabyte one if that really annoys you but... Really, I don't think you should worry about that. Both looks cards very similare to be honnest. Personnally I'm more looking at the card's radiator lenght and thickness for the best cooling possible. Obviously, things are more complicated than just pure dimensions, but it gives you a clue on cooling performance. But since they look really about the same, go for the cheapest, and that's about it.
  21. VEGA 64 should be fine with a 2700X. I had my GTX 1080 (which is about the same level of performance as V.64) with a Ryzen 5 2600 (so same generation, IPC and gaming performance as the 2700X), then a Ryzen 5 3600. Virtually the same performance. I was totally GPU bound at 1440p. And Radeon tend to do better with weaker CPUs. So it's even more unlikely you'd be CPU bound with your V.64.
  22. First, new components, doesn't mean it's necessarly working. Absolutly not. DOA (Dead On Arrival) parts still exist, shipping can be rough, etc... So keep that in mind. Do you have any debug LED staying on ? This would give you a clue on what's happening.
