  1. Hate to continue bugging everyone, but the issues persisted. I tried the following since- Disable CEC. -TV @MrMase thanks for the suggestion! Disable GSync. - Comp/TV Force audio mode Bitstream - receiver Disable HDR - comp I've noticed now that inside of the Game Settings Mode, when the screen disconnects, the one constant is the Low Latency turns OFF, then if it turns on again, back it comes. I watch it turn off when the screen goes, and watch it turn back on right before screen returns. In the first photo, second option from the right is the one. I've also noticed this rainbow effect happening now and then When screen returns. Photo attached for reference. I am so lost. I'll try anything. I know the HDMI spec for 2.1 is broken, but I also know that my settup should work, and DOES work for others. So what's the bottleneck? I need to find out. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks for any help!!!
  2. Thank you both for the responses. I hope it's not the TV, as it's difficult to return, but I have extended warranty so that'd be fine haha. @MrMasethe TV is on latest firmware - so I tried disabling CEC on my TV. This turned off my ARC for my surround sound- so I went into the receiver settings for CEC or anything of that sort. I found the settings for HDCP on the receiver, and found it was set to Auto. So I set it to conform with the 2.3 spec, and I haven't seen the issue return (as of now). Would this be a possibility as the issue? I will monitor and if the issue does return, I will try disabling CEC again and see if that works. If that doesn't do it, I will come back for more advice. Cheers!
  3. Hello friends. I'm getting an issue that I just cant sort out myself, I keep flipping between the culprit being the TV, the receiver, the GPU, and the cables. Essentially I am having connection issues regarding my video output to my LG C1 tv. I use it for some gaming, so it is connected via HDMI 2.1 15 ft cable. Every now and then I lose video, but not audio for between 1 second and permanently (until I switch inputs off, and back). My rig has a RTX 3070 so this shouldnt be hard work for it. Connection goes COMPUTER - HDMI 2.1 CABLE - DENON 3700h RECEIVER 8K INPUT - HDMI 2.1 CABLE - EARC PORT ON LG C1 I have tried dropping the frame size from 4K 120 HDR to 2K 60 no HDR with no change. I figured it was the cable, as the longer high end HDMI cables have quality issues - so I replaced it - no luck. - so unless I got a second bad cable, I dont think thats it. I have tried ditching all my other displays - only having the TV plugged in - and the issue is still present, regardless of frame size and refresh rate- so I dont believe its a heat or power issue. I tried different HDMI ports on the GPU, no dice - so unless all the HDMI ports on my GPU are hooped, I dont think its GPU. I tried to connect the computer directly to the TV (no receiver), no dice - so I don't think its the receiver. I dont have another device capable of pushing 4k 120 HDR, so I cant do tests regarding the TV being sus. Because of how the TV always reconnects after changing the input, I wonder if its a tech handshake error, but I have no idea how to confirm that. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Shall I pray to the demon lord of PC Troubles? Thanks guys.
  4. Hey Tech people! I am having some issues with my wifi. While connected to my 5Ghz band, it will periodically drop connection. I figured this was a bad Wifi card, but it is not, as my new wifi card I just purchased has the same problem, yet a touch different. On my old card: It randomly claims my 5G connection has no internet. Connecting to my 2.4 band and reconnecting to my 5g brings the internet back. On my new card: It straight up disconnects from the 5G network Reconnecting right away gives me a "Can not connect" message. After some time I can reconnect. I can still connect to my 2.4 band. In both cases 5G wifi does not drop from my other devices, and also the connection signal is great, so that isolates it to my computer (I believe). I have tried: Deleting and redownloading Wifi drivers, resetting network through command prompt, Going through device manager and forcing some settings (roaming aggressiveness to low, 801.11 force to AC from AX) Connecting the card to a different PCIE port. I have not yet tried anything through bios, as I do not know if that could be a thing that could help. Specs - Windows Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 MB- Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming Bios- 3.2 32 gigs ram Ryzen 2700x RTX 3070 1 500g sata SSD boot 1 1Tb sata ssd games drive 1 3TB HDD Storage 1 4Tb HDD Work drive 850w Gold PSU I have attached a Wlan report. As I said, it only DC's on the 5G channel. Anytime it says something about user switching network thats when I swap it to the other channel to get wifi back. The things I notice are the notes that say: ActiveHttpProbeSucceeded CapabilityReset The network is disconnected by the driver and SuspectArpProbeFailed wlan-report-2020-12-12.html
  5. Hey there friends! Having a mega issue, and I'm pretty sick and tired of it haha.. I just upgraded my GPU from a 2060 to a 2070 Super. Played fine for a week or so but now we have issues. Cod Modern Warfare will crash (most of the time) immediately upon enacting Raytracing, or it will crash randomly without. When it doesn't crash, I see black graphical artifacts that pollute the screen, seemingly coming from the character model/guns. Tried running full settings down to safe mode low settings. Seems like low settings work (mostly). Anything other than lowest? Both issues occur. When it crashes it gives the error "Directx encountered an unrecoverable error - 6068 , or 5761" Something interesting to note is I don't see my GPU spiking as much as I think it should with this game... Dead by Daylight will crash within 5 minutes of entering the match. Nothing else to it, just what happens. PUBG will run and like DbD, randomly crash. Mega fixes I've tried- DDU uninstall reinstall GPU drivers, Complete reinstall erasure of my boot drive, Played with RAM overclocks, Reinstall all directX files, cant figure out how to reinstall the dx12 - but since I wiped my boot drive that cant be the issue - right? Upgraded bios from F7 version to f50 (holy shit, right?) Reinstall all games. I'm starting to wonder if this could be something wrong with my Motherboard. I've been having trouble with my build since I have taken it to another city for Christmas, transported it on the motherboards side of the case, fabric lined seat in the car. Is there a chance that the issue is a Motherboard? I have eliminated the Boot drive as being the issue ( thought this may be caused by a bad driver or something), and I don't know if this is something easy enough to point at the GPU. Power Supply maybe? IDK. Y'all know more than me lmao. Specs - games are on the 3 tb hard drive, and the 1 tb m.2 drive. OS is on the 2.5 ssd. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/TophatCrusader/saved/#view=DCgBcf
  6. Hi there, having yet another problem with my TV connected to my PC. The problem is outlined as such: 1. TV periodically cuts to black while still pushing audio through it - for example, while playing a game. Game doesn't get affected at all, you can continue to use it, but no picture at all. Doesn't even push the window to my other displays. 2. TV Glitches out periodically - as seen here in these clips: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1SsxPBXJ2IuDKL9D0M9pmHvdb9IPhy-iK I have no idea what is causing this, but I have tried a few things that haven't worked at all, or only worked for a bit: New HDMI Cable Tried all HDMI in ports on TV Tried DisplayPort to HDMI adaptor to try different plugs on Graphics card Tried changing the scaling settings from Display to Graphics in Nvidia settings Tried using it in windowed mode, and different resolutions than 4K. I also confirmed that it isn't a defect in the TV as these issues are not present when the display is connected to something else like a Blue Ray Player. Any ideas? 7. ISSUE IS SOLVED (as far as I can tell...) I purchased a DP to HDMI Adapter and it hasn't shown the issue since! Thank for the help!!!! C
  8. After some tweaking I figured it out. On the boot priority on the bios, my new drive was at the bottom of priorities, so I moved it about a bunch of unknown drives that are probably connected to my sd card reader, and voilla! GG comp
  9. Hi there, I am currently having a big issue with my newly picked up M.2 Drive. I have installed it into my motherboards A slot, and I can see the M2 drive in my boot priority on my bios so I know its connected right, but I cannot find the drive in windows through the partition setup. I have done the due diligence and checked if this drive would work with this motherboard and it says it will. I have done a ton of google-ing on the matter and found out that I have to enable something in the Bios in order to see any M2 drives, but I cant for the love of god figure it out. Any help on this is appreciated. Specs - Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming - Motherboard WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s M.2 2280 Solid State Drive - M2 Drive Thanks.
  10. Thank you for the help @DakotaWebber. If that's the case I will try a displayport to hdmi adapter. Is there anything else I can try or is this the last hope? And if its the tv's scaler, then why does it work about 1/2 the time with these 4k games?
  11. Yet another interesting development - this seems to have fixed the issue with the one game, but the issue persists in another game... Man this is a strange one.
  12. INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT - So when trying Dakota's idea of the 1080p test, I found that my TV's recommended res is 3840 x 2160 , but there is the level up - 4096 x 2160. I hated using this res at the start of owning this tv because of how my desktop would be displayed over the actual monitor boundaries (As the pixel count on the TV is 3840, not 4096). I tried to set it as 4096 and fired up the game - full screen at 3840 x 2160 and the issue did not show itself. While this requires more testing to see if this works, this really isn't a fix for me. It scrunches up my desktop and I feel it should work at the native res as well.
  13. Thank you all for the continued support from this. @DakotaWebber Indeed, very strange... And I'm sorry but I need to clarify a fews things from your post - Yes I have another monitor to diagnose. What would I be looking for, and how? I changed the tv resolution to 1080p and the issue DISAPPEERED completely. Good to know to diagnose I suppose? How would I go about seeing if HDCP is interfering? I have the Seiki SC55UK700N as my TV, and my newly upgraded graphics card is the RTX 2060 card listed here - https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX75289 Thanks for the help man. @Wormhole I have tried all HDMI Ports on the tv, and this problem persists on all of them. Thanks for the suggestion though!
  14. Thanks all for the continued support from this. @DakotaWebber I went into my Nvidia Control Panel and changed my scaling from display to GPU, with no luck. I do not believe this TV has a gaming mode. Any other ideas ? Also while trying this out, a different game while running in windowed mode CONSISTENTLY does this black out at the one point. When this game (Suprapong) is loading into the arena screen (attached), right before it adds players, it blacks out without fail. When I come back to it it is playing normally, and will keep playing normally for a while, then suddenly black out again. @Netivity I fiddled with firewall settings, and none changed anything. I have checked my refresh rate - running at 60hz as I expect it to. Thanks for the suggestion - any other ideas? I have also attached a video of what was going on just to show. This is the situation I described above - it does this every time upon startup into this game, without fail - while other games seem to do it only periodically. Thanks fellas IMG_3904_1.mp4
  15. @Netivity Thanks for the reply! Would this make sense though if it only happens in certain games? What way would I diagnose this? Thanks again! @wron Thanks for the reply! I tried this, and unfortunately it didn't work for me... Thanks for the reply though! I have also now looked into if these games were all the same version of directx, to see if the problem was there, but they all run on different versions. If anyone else has ideas, I am all ears!!
