  1. My favorite item would be the Edge 750w. It seems to be a beast psu with tons of features and many reviews have given it 5/5.
  2. Okey... How about coax cables? Every room in the house is also wired with coax cables. But would the fact that I'm receiving the internet connection from the ISP via coax be a problem? This would be my plan: ISP -> coax -> Coax splitter -> Fritz!Box 6360 -> Ethernet to Coax adapter -> Back into the same coax jack -> "Server room" -> Coax to Ethernet adapter -> Server
  3. Hello. I've just got a spare server that I would like to play with. My problem is that I live in a two story house and I wouldn't want the server to be in my room. The best place for the server would be on the opposite side of the house from my room (the modem is in my room). Now, our house is wired with phone cable (RJ11). Could I use these cables as normal ethernet cables ? In that case, what kind of adapters/devices would I need?
  4. If they got some spare phones I don't mind getting one :) Twitter: @worqy https://twitter.com/worqy/status/340531018731749377
  5. Awesome giveaway! Big thank you to both Intel and Gigabyte !!! Twitter: https://twitter.com/worqy/status/315086657302958080 https://twitter.com/worqy/status/315088282465755137
  6. Thank you for your post! What kind of power bill are we talking about here? Compared to the fact that my gaming pc is on almost all day. (i5-2500k, 560ti, 1hdd, 850w ) I searched on google to find the list over compatible drives but couldn't find it. The server would cost around 250€/340$. The fact that its an actual server and not a normal desktop is what got me to even consider it. And I could also add another Xeon to it for around 50€. What about the noise level? More like a desktop pc or a rack?
  7. I'm planning to buy myself a home server. The server is a HP Proliant ML350 G5 with 8GB of RAM, a 2.0GHZ Xeon and two SAS 150GB HDD's. I would use this to experiment around with server related stuff, host a small gameserver for a couple of friends and do some linux stuff. I would also throw in some more HDD's and backup all my photos etc. Thoughts about the server ? Anything I should know before buying it?
