  1. @Christiaan21-03 yes it ran at about 6fps in the apex legends menu screen. Not ideal but if you're not using it for gaming I guess it's ok.
  2. Update: Six pin connector wasn't plugged in. Haven't tested it yet but that should be the issue...
  3. It doesn't change at all. These are the firestrike results. My 960 used to get above 3000 i believe.
  4. I've just plugged in my new GPU and it got a solid 700 score on the 3dmark firestrike test. I need help troubleshooting the issue. This is what I am greeted with on afterburner. Everything look fine?
  5. @Spotty what can i do in this situation then? just wait for it to come and return it?
  6. This is the video I am talking about. 5gb 1060 is in the second half of the video.
  7. I have a 960 and have been looking to upgrade to a 1060. I remember seeing a 5gb 1060 in one of the LTT videos. Apparently, it is made for Chinese internet cafes. The only issue with it is the 160bit memory width. I was browsing ebay today and found a cheap 5gb 1060 which claims to have a 192bit memory width. It is unbranded tho and I'm concerned it will be a fake. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GTX1060-5G-192Bit-PCI-E-DDR5-Video-Card-Gaming-Graphics-Card-Triple-Fan-Metal-UK/292943854640?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D8b16a64e5d3046d2bd85fec9b3322409%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D292943854640%26itm%3D292943854640&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A120ef5a6-5350-11e9-bbf4-74dbd180b12e|parentrq%3Ad14116bd1690ad4aa46ea5c6ffed8c80|iid%3A1 What do you guys think?
  8. @glenwing it reduces your monitor's life so it's not really free. By worth it I mean is it enough of a difference to justify a shorter life on my monitor.
  9. I guess when it dies early because of overclocking I will have an excuse to get a 144Hz one. I'll keep it on.
  10. CS:GO runs way better on Intel CPUs. Even so, you should be getting at least over 120 at all times with that setup.
  11. I can't afford to buy a 144Hz monitor so I decided to try to overclock my current one to 75HZ. Turns out the highest I could get it to was 67Hz. Is the 7 extra fps worth the fact that my monitor will now not last as long? Should I just change it back to 60?
  12. Ok now I just need to be able to afford the 1660 ti lol.
  13. I have been told RTX is way better at encoding for streaming but i havent heard anything about the new 16xx series of GTX cards. Will they have the same encoding hardware or is it worth paying up for the RTX to up stream Quality.
  14. @Jay Deah alright i'll go with this method.
  15. bindydad i dont know how i will get 500gb worth of video off of my hdd...
  16. i've only got 120gb free. if i clean up my hdd ill probably still use over 500gb... Fresh install on my ssc sounds like the best option because i dont wat my video files on it anyway. Im just worried if it will recognise the programmes on my hdd or not. I will give it a go anyway not much to lose.
  17. im just going to install windows on it and use it as the boot device. is there any way to make sure that it detects the software on the hdd and is there a way to delete windoes off the harddrive after?
  18. Just got my first ssd and im not really sure what to do. I want to migrate windows onto it of course but not all the software on the computer. it is 120gb and my harddrive is 1tb. I still need my hdd beacuse i do video editing and need to store large files. my plan is to have only windows firefox and a few games on the ssd. How can i go about transfering only windows to the ssd and keeping everything else on the hdd?
