I'm counting on 120+ fps at 1440p at 144/165hz.

I've got an asus b150m-a, and the 7700k isn't really cheap. Costs the same as an 8700. Never thought of getting a Ryzen. Intel is superior in gaming as much as I know, is that wrong?

Was looking for a 6 core CPU, do you think that 4 cores will be abale to handle upcomming AAA titles?

Hello, I currently own a GTX 970 and an I5 6600 (non-k) and I'm getting very poor performance (sub 60 fps). Im playing mostly PUBG and BF1 atm, but I would like to buy something that would last for about 5 years worth of AAA titles. I have a 1440p 165hz monitor. After a good amount of research i've come to buying the Gigabyte GTX 2070 OC 8GB and I'm pretty set on that. I would like to average atleast 144 fps at said games. On the CPU side, I'm conflicting between i5 8600, i7 8700 and i5 9600k. Not planning to OC but the 9600 is similarly priced as the others. Would need a MoBo asweel, so feel free to recommand that too. Thanks alot.
