  1. anyone know where i can buy the same framing used in the work stations. Or the manufacturer of what is in the video.
  2. Budget (including currency): na Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I think this is the right place for this to be posted if not mods please move. Im looking to build a new desk with multiple monitors also was something deep and was watching the latest video and saw that setup LTT labs has and its perfect for what I have been looking for. See attached images. If someone can identify the manufacturer and where I can purchase it that would be much appreciated.
  3. This is more of a tutorial as to what to do when you have a laptop fan that overheats becuase the fan breaks and it shuts down. My computer has been a humble steed for many years. I use my good old GT70 dominator for my automated trading. The other day after what was probably approx 5 years of constantly being on..(this is not a exageration) my fan finally broke. Sadly in the world of everything being bought online this means you cant just pop down to the shop and buy a new one. A quick ebay purchase and im 2>3 business days away from my fan arriving. But I need my computer to work, what to do? buy a new one? No. Thankfuly i had a bottle of wine and after a couple of glasses i had an idea. Take my desk fan, rasie the laptop on bricks and cool it this way. Oh and to my surprise its running 20 degrees cooler under load. note for anyone in this predicatment with a laptop. You will need to leave the broken fan jumper on so the computer still boots. pics attached.
  4. hey all, im a currency trader and i currenly use a asus 15.5" mobile screen when im away from my home base and just had an idea. My laptop A gigabyte aero has a 94wh battery and lasts frekin ages. I often travel with a big suitcase so carrying somehting a bit bigger then my current setup wouldnt mean any big change. Anyway. I saw linus build a screen from a panel and bits from ebay and thought hey, would it be possible to intergrate the same battery from my laptop into a 27" 1920x1080 monitor that i could just throw in my luggage and charge from the same charger as my laptop. Im thinking better viewing angles, much more screen space and ptotentially super long battery life compared to something smaller. Could even plug a chromecast dongle into it so i dont need a hdmi cable. Thoughts?
