  1. Just to prove, a certain someone thinks you need a 1000 watt psu, which is obviously incorrect.
  2. Nobody can disclose that information yet, but im sure it will be in the next few months.Kind regards, Jake
  3. A 670 would be a better upgrade. 560 Ti's dont scale to well and with a single card upgrade you can always SLI that one at a later date. Also your PSU might not be able to handle the two cards and two 560's are going to use alot more power and be less efficient than a single 670. Kind regards, Jake.
  4. At the current time i would recommend nothing, wait until the Radeon HD 8000 series or the GTX 700 series come out, you might feel really cheated if a 8950 comes out that rinses the 7950 and costs the same, or likewise with nvidia. Your rig is currently good enough for gaming on the your resolution at max settings, if your card runs to hot or you feel like it is louder than it should be contact the card provider to see about getting a replacement if you are still under warranty.Kind regards, Jake.
  5. Seems like you got the "Bad egg". Besides of this, this is a forum. There is no true point in starting a thread complaining about a graphics card and not recommending it, your time would have been much better of spent getting into contact with XFX to get a replacement card. Kind regards, Jake.
  6. a 7870 is a large upgrade to a 6950, however as the others have said look at a 7950 for a good upgrade. also dont forget nvidia has a wide variety of cards available, for example the 660Ti or 670. At the end of the day the 6950 should be able to play the games you stated maxed out anyway, so an upgrade might not be in your best interests. kind regards, Jake.
  7. your doing a completely wrong comparison, you should be comparing a 7950 to a 660 Ti and not a 670. The 7950 will overclock better and in the future when a graphics upgrade is needed will scale better when in crossfireX. If you are more interested in gpu performance for now you should look at comparisons between a 7970 and a 670, also take into the account the technologies the sides provide. If you want to play alot of games that use PhysX then Nvidia is for you. Nvidia also has cuda processing which can come in handy for general usage, but AMD also has app acceleration. At the end of the day both cards are very strong and should be destroying current generation games at 1080P, and as i said a 7950 or 7970 will OC a little better than the nvidia cards so bear this in mind if you are going to overclock. In kind regards, Jake.
