  1. I'll probably just have to sell it and buy a new one, I bought it 3 months ago so I doubt the retailer will take it back
  2. Crap I didn't even know that was something I needed to check. I bought the only gen 4 drive that isnt supported by the board, just my luck.
  3. The only firmware I can find is for Corsair's SSD Toolbox which is also only picking up my other two drives
  4. I really hope not, I've had enough trouble with this PC already
  5. I've tried it with the included heatsink and the motherboard heatsink but neither worked
  6. I've just finished building a new PC using an Aorus Master B550 with 3 drives total, a 500GB Corsair MP600, a 1TB Samsung 860 QVO and a 2TB Seagate HDD. The Samsung and Seagate drives both showed up in the BIOS and Windows installer, but the Corsair drive didn't. I've tried putting it in all 3 M.2 slots, but haven't been able to get it to show. I've since installed Windows on the Samsung drive so I can at least use the PC but really want to get it transfered over to the Corsair drive so im not taking up space on the Samsung. If anyone has any idea what sort of troubleshooting steps I could take it would be much appreciated.
  7. No dice, looks like i'll have to RMA the board. Thanks for the help
  8. Ill try clearing the CMOS, but i cant use the old CPU as it was a 2600 which isnt compatible with b550
  9. All of the parts except for the graphics card are new. I pulled it from my old system while I wait for my 3080 to arrive. I've also tried using my old RAM which i knew worked with Ryzen but that didnt work either.
  10. I flashed it with the latest BIOS from Gigabyte and it did specify Zen 3 support
  11. So I just built a new PC based on the Ryzen 9 5900X and no matter what i try i can't get it to post. Everything in the system appears to be getting power as all my case and component fans are spinning up. Specs: Ryzen 9 5900X Aorus Master B550 MB 4x8GB G.Skill 3200mhz RAM Aorus XTREME GTX 1080ti Corsair 850w PSU I've tried reseating all of the components and cables, trying a single stick of RAM, different monitors and cables and flashing the BIOS. If anyone has any suggestions on what I could try next i would really appreciate it.
  12. Where I live, in order for me to get a second hand 1080 I either have to pay the same amount for a new 2070 or get a founders/blower style gpu for $100 less, which I would really rather avoid. I would also have to drive for a couple hours to get them since most people dont want to ship and i live in a rural area.
  13. I woud go for an RTX 2080, however they are an extra $300 for the cheapest model over the 2070. 1080ti's are also no longer available here brand new and the used market where I live is trash.
  14. I am having some trouble deciding between the Asus Strix OC 2060 ($660AUD) and the MSI Armor 2070 ($800AUD). I will be running a 1440p 60hz monitor and playing AAA titles such as Assassins Creed Odyssey and The Witcher 3 at max settings. Both of these cards fit my budget, however i'm not sure if the 6Gb of vram on the 2060 will be enough in the future. Any thoughts? Thanks.
