  1. Thank you. Different question. Does this motherboard or PSU come with the required SATA cable? https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B550M-DS3H-Micro-Motherboard/dp/B089FY7QT1/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1G5KD7SM9NQK3&keywords=b550+motherboard+gigabyte&qid=1646608007&sprefix=b550+motherboard+gigabyte%2Caps%2C168&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Supernova-Modular-Warranty-220-GA-0750-X1/dp/B07WW1XF51/ref=sr_1_2?crid=W22W0T8R9THP&keywords=evga+750w&qid=1646608086&sprefix=evga+750w%2Caps%2C186&sr=8-2
  2. https://www.amazon.com/WD-Blue-1TB-Hard-Drive/dp/B0088PUEPK/ref=sr_1_2?crid=ZUVLQMGIM6E4&keywords=western+digital+blue&qid=1646607358&sprefix=western+digital+blue%2Caps%2C181&sr=8-2 Or do I need to buy it separately?
  3. It drains the battery when unused. So I should remove the battery when it still has some charge in it? Or it doesn't matter if it's charged or not when removing it?
  4. It's been sitting there for months. Can it start leaking or swelling if unused for long periods of time? No, it's not a high end laptop. It's an old HP laptop.
  5. Is it built in? Is there a program I need? The same thing Google has. Basically I want to check a folder if it has duplicates of the same image but with different names.
  6. I used DiskGenius to check for bad sectors. Almost all sectors are excellent with around 4000 good. 0 everything else. Any other suggestions?
  7. How exactly do I do that? I only used the built in feature from windows in disk management by formatting the hard drives.
  8. Someone who describes a similar problem https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/games-freeze-on-hdd-only.3362663/ Some games installed on my hard drives freeze everything requiring me to cut the power in order to shut down after some play time, never right away. Some sounds sometimes glitch out or stop playing, the UI sometimes glitches out, 3D models stop loading. If I install the same games on my SSD they work fine. This started happening a while ago after getting an SSD, switching from windows 7 to 10 (windows 10 is now on the SSD) and changing my GPU. I tried lots of fixes. Even tried running windows 7 installed on one of my hard drives. Motherboard and GPU drivers are up to date. Tried older drivers for the GPU and motherboard. Reformatted both hard disks a couple of times (did NOT use quick format, didn't find any bad sectors). I have 2 hard drives. It seems weird that both of them would have the same specific problem and that they still haven't broken down after so long. GIGABYTE B85-HD3, Intel B85, LGA 1150 Intel Core i5-4570, LGA 1150, 22nm, 6MB Sapphire Radeon RX 590 Nitro+ Special Edition 8GB GDDR5 256-bit 16GB RAM (Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3, 2x4GB CL10, 1.5V, 1600MHz AND Kingston Beast Series DDR3, 2x4GB, 1600MHz, CL9) Yes, I tried using just 2 sticks of the same type at once in slots 1-3 and 2-4. 2x HDD Desktop Western Digital Blue, 1TB, SATA III 600, 64MB Buffer SSD Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SATA-III 2.5 inch Corsair VS Series 650W help
  9. It's a VG259Q. Before you say it no, pressing the GameVisual button on the side of the monitor does not do that. It just lets me choose between different modes. No, resetting it to factory settings does not disable GameVisual mode. The only thing I found is in the System Setup menu where you can see a side by side demo with and without GameVisual enabled. Please no more of the stereotypical PCMR comments "read the manual *posts link*". I read it. Either it doesn't say how to do it in there or I am too fucking stupid. Or you simply can't do it. Thanks in advance for your support.
  10. Thanks. I tried changing those options but they actually make the image even worse. Ended up leaving them on default.
  11. It's a HP Probook 450 G4. The default options for the display are quite bad. I especially want to change contrast and saturation. I can change brightness via a function key and gamma from windows. I don't have any buttons like on monitors. None of the function keys open a menu for changing display settings. The GPU is a 930MX. There are a lot of options missing from the nvidia control panel, display included. From what I understand this GPU uses nvidia Optimus and it is supposed to lack those display options in the control panel. So how am I supposed to change my display settings? Is it even possible?
  12. It hasn't happened at all in quite a while now. I even tried to replicate it. The "solution" seems to have been constantly alt tabbing out of the game. It makes no sense, I know. I have no idea if the problem went away on its own or if alt tabbing actually fixes it.
  13. Tried now with all 4 sticks. It froze rather fast. Is it possible I broke something while handling the RAM sticks?
  14. I tried that. 1 RAM set at a time. In slots 2 4. Tested both pairs, HyperX and Beast. The freezes still happened. This time the freezes seem to have happened much faster. Will do more testing to try and get the freezes with all 4 RAM sticks inserted. Any program to test the RAM for issues? Thank you for the help.
  15. Didn't reinstall yet. But the freeze happened today on windows 7 as well. Which, again, is installed on the HDD. At this point I don't think a clean windows reinstall will help. Any programs I can use to track down what's causing this?
  16. I tried replicating these problems in windows 7, which was installed on one of the HDDs for a long time. Could not replicate any of the problems. Neither the HUD, sound or crashing. I do encounter the typical annoying to infuriating AMD driver shenanigans on windows 7 on the other hand. Same driver version. I will try performing a clean install of windows 10 on the SSD and see if the problems persist.
  17. Hello. This seems to happen only under specific circumstances when playing games. Basically, the longer an area goes on for and the more stuff happens (more enemies, more enemy variety, more scripts etc.) WITHOUT a loading screen the higher the chance it happens. It starts with some of the sounds being removed entirely. Other sounds are cut short. Volume is reduced. Pieces of the HUD start disappearing. The HUD overall starts glitching out. Enemy 3D models start disappearing. Scripts no longer working properly such as camera movement. Eventually once enough stuff breaks down the PC freezes entirely and requires a power cut off. Restarting or powering down does not work, it will stay like that trying to shut down forever. ONE time, just ONE time it simply recovered from all these issues. And kept working like nothing happened. Examples of when it happens: PAYDAY 2 during a long mission with countless enemies. Guild Wars 2 during world events with tens of people, countless scripts and hundreds of enemies over a long stretch of the map. It also happens during story instances with heavy scripts (walking, talking, camera work, cutscenes etc.). Does NOT happen during raid instances which are light on the scripts. Warframe during long defense missions. It even happens during the Titanfall 2 campaign. This is the exception as it was singleplayer and with loading screens in between. Also a rather low 3D model count. Extremely heavy on the scripts though. Examples where it NEVER happened: Men of War Assault Squad 2, regardless of how many enemies are coming. Total War Warhammer 2. VERY heavy on the 3D model count. DOOM Eternal. Deep Rock Galactic. Which is heavy on the 3D models count. I have no idea if any of the information I provided is helpful. I have no idea if scripts, 3D model count, engine or specific lines of code cause the problems. I have no idea which component is causing the issue. I have no idea if it is a hardware or a software problem in the first place. This started happening some time after getting an SSD, upgrading to Windows 10 and switching my old GPU (which died) with the RX 590. So my guess is on one of these 3. Windows 10 64 bit GIGABYTE B85-HD3, Intel B85, LGA 1150 Intel Core i5-4570, LGA 1150, 22nm, 6MB Sapphire Radeon RX 590 Nitro+ Special Edition 8GB GDDR5 256-bit (Might try older drivers and try to replicate the problems) 16GB RAM (Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3, 2x4GB CL10, 1.5V, 1600MHz AND Kingston Beast Series DDR3, 2x4GB, 1600MHz, CL9) I know, not recommended to have different RAM but they didn't cause issues after installing them. 2x HDD Desktop Western Digital Blue, 1TB, SATA III 600, 64MB Buffer SSD Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SATA-III 2.5 inch Corsair VS Series 650W Thank you in advance for your help. Really hope someone can help me.
  18. Hi. Sorry for the late reply. Fast Startup was already disabled. So it was shutting down twice with fast startup disabled. The issue is still not fixed.
  19. Basically I shut down the PC, it stays that way for about 2 seconds then starts up again. Then once it boots up again I shut it down again and it stays shut down. This started when I switched from Windows 7 to 10 AND when I got an SSD. Both of these changes happened at the same time. No idea if both of them are at fault or just one. The SSD, where Windows 10 is installed, is plugged into the SATA 4 port, the last one as the other 3 were already used. Does it matter which port I use?
  20. I have cheap Newmen keyboard which I have been using for the past...3 or 4 years? Still works almost as good as new. W can stop randomly when I am holding it down IF I am very gentle with it. Pressing it normally, no issues. I guess, avoid Razer from now on? Are they the Apple of gaming?
  21. I got a Razer Abyssus about 1 year ago. Both clicks are almost dead. Double clicking instead of single clicking. Sometimes not clicking at all. Stops randomly from holding a click pressed. Dragging and dropping is almost impossible to do. I also had a Cougar Minos X1 I used for 2 years. A lot cheaper, only $20 compared to the $50 I paid for the Abyssus. Still works. After all that time there is an extremely faint hint that the left click is dying on the X1. That's it. Have you had Razer mice break down so easily?
  22. Not to ruin your fun but...I got the exact same model. Seemed like the absolute best choice on paper. Came with a dead pixel. The overall color accuracy was good and the 144hz felt nice but it had poor color uniformity especially towards the edges, worse than some TN and VA monitors I saw. Yes, I did the proper calibration. I returned it. Maybe your panel will be better, after all not all displays with the same model are identical.
