  1. This issue does happen when the 1080p is the primary monitor. Even if I set the 4K one to 1440p or 1080p the issue gets messy. The secondary monitor will give me static or just go green. I am going to try using dvi d on both and see if that works or maybe just swap out the hdmi on the secondary and use dp on both. Yeah I wanted extended.
  2. I recently hooked up a second monitor to my setup. I have a 144hz 1080p monitor as the primary (to game and hit those higher fps) and now the second is a 4K monitor (keep chrome, dicord, youtube etc.) The issue I am running into now is, the second monitor will start flickering and ultimately go to green, whenever I launch a game and play for a couple of minutes. Both monitors are hooked up to my PowerColor Red Dragon RX 580 8gb. One thru DP (1080p) and the other thru HDMI (4k). I have tried dialing down the 4K monitor to 1440p. It will last a little longer. I dialed it down to 1080p. This made it worse. Only thing I notice in Windows is that it says the current resolution is what I have dropped it too but it says “active” resolution is 4K. Not sure if the card is still working just as hard no matter what I tell it the signal is..? Is this a GC issue of it not being strong enough or could it be a MoBo or CPU issue? I have a i7 4790K with a Asus Z87 Plus. I know the CPU should handle it. Only thing I can see on the MoBo side is that it supports three 1080p monitors and can support 4K (not sure if its only one display, just says it can support the resolution.) system: i7 4790K 4.0ghz Z87 Plus 16gb 1600mhz RX 580 8gb 750w PSU
