  1. I would wait for the Zen 3, it will be much more cost efficient as well then spending $500-$600 on an Intel plus $200-$300+ on a board for the HEDT Intel chip. Also as others have stated if the Ryzen 3000's even perform close to as hoped and advertised they should KICK booty!!!!!! Especially for work loads that do anything above and beyond just web browsing and gaming.
  2. You can always get a black case, rgb or red cooling fans, and then a nice window with red and black internal parts.
  3. I personally love fractal design stuff, even their cheaper focus G line stuff is very nice for $50. I may use a meshify in white on the next personal build for myself....... The last 2 builds ive done for friends both used the focus G and for the money it was an awesome case.
  4. You know, it wasnt what they said, it was how some people phrased it, and with little to no supporting information. Then assuming im trying to buy the cheapest no name off brand cooler out there, which is not the case. So what it sounds like is all 120mm AiOs are crap then? Thats sort of the resounding impression I seem to be getting, regardless of brand, big name or not it seems like what everyone is saying is if im not spending $85-$100+ on a 240mm or larger, or something thats a 120 but apparently priced highly cause from all i can seem to find is is has rgb. I am not trying to push overclocking, as i stated it more for a visual cleanliness inside the case as oppose to a monstrous tower...... So then from what I am hearing all the Master Liquid lite, evga clc 120, the h60 and h55, or any the Deepcool gamerstorm AiO stuff sucks? Also what is considered a good warranty, vs a bad warranty? Timeline-wise, and other support optionswise? Most of what I have been looking at is a 3 year, which seems fine to me, i def. wouldn't buy a refurb. or anything with a sketchy 1 year warranty. From what it sounds like my next best choice aesthetically is to either keep my spire, or take my friend up on the offer of his wraith prism.....
  5. ok, so what i have learned is instead of anyone providing worthwhile advice or assistance, or just answering the question in a friendly constructive manner, it seems that people prefer to tell me everything but what I asked, and then make assumptions. I never stated I wanted a cheap, no name chinese product, or something unreliable, all I asked was for some direction in decent to good products within that price point give or take $10-$15...... Noise is not a factor, and I prefer for personal aesthetic reasons to run an AIO for a sleeker more streamlined look inside the case as oppose to a HUGE aircooling tower..... Which is my personal choice. So if there is anyone with real feedback or additional information that maybe helpful above and beyond reading the tier list and picking whatever I think looks cute, or reading amazon or newegg feedback it would be apperciated. If you dont have anything constructive, or nice to say, please kindly choose not to say anything. Thank you much, Katie
  6. As I had stated I did read the tier list and its helpful but there is sooooo much information there I figured it easier to solict first hand real world advice. My choice wasnt the master liquid 240 its the master liquid lite 240 which is a different model and what looks to have only a 2 year warranty. As much as I was interested in an air cooler for case aesthetics and personal pref. I would like an AIO instead. So any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Katie
  7. Please delete this thread if possible..... Thanks
  8. Thanks i'm excited and happy will get a Ryzen 3000 chip come july fingers crossed.
  9. THe newer Ryzen b450 and x470 chipsets are less ram picky in my experiences, although you will not get 3000mhz you will get 2933mhz. Now with a Ryzen chip faster ram is better, and dual channel is better then single. I have great luck with Patriot Viper ram in Ryzen builds, and also Crucial ballistics ram as well in the build Ive helped friends with, Corsair is also good, amazingly the ram we have had the most issues with is G.Skill and their 10 different product lines with the same name and varying timings, ratings, and etc. You should be able to get 3200mhz 16gb kits in the $100-$115 price range if you keep your eyes open and shop around.... cheap no, but better then it was.
  10. Depending on your pricing, Id try for the faster more core cpu if your getting a discrete gpu. but with your budget atm, your best option would be the 2200g and an rx580 which should get you right around $270-$280 and will be faster then the 1050ti or even a 1060. If you are open to used parts alot of 1070s and vega 56s have been in my area on cl for $200-$225 and rx570-580s in the $110-$150 range. Personally, i think spending extra of an igpu chip when ur gonna shun the gpu is kinda a waste, unless budget restriction strictly dictate that course of action such as this case. Now if the 1400 is the same price, get that over the 2200g.
  11. Thank ill try to post pics of the pink and white princess build when completed, if amazon ever gets the fractal focus G in white case.... I went to order got an email there sold out, and now its a waiting game, and newegg ships so slow and charges for shipping on cases that im better off waiting on amazon....... Also the 1tb part is a matter of if the damn drive comes in stock soon or if I have to settle for a m.2 sata, but I could always one of my 1tb spinners and patience. I should be in this build about $650ish give or take..... including my 1070... only used part i bought. IT was initially only a $500 build, then i splurged on a new case and psu along with the bigger drives as oppose to recycling old parts, but still for the money im very happy. The samsung isnt the drive im using its the closest speed i could find, im using a silicon power a80 nvme i got a 512 for $74.99 The Mobo is also a steel legend asrock b450m not a pro4. 12. Wow thats a bummer i know newegg just had a 9400 daily deal with a ok msi board for $199 shipped, i was all over that deal, for a friend I am gonna put a box together for with my spare parts..... but pcpartpicker doesnt even list the 9400 yet at all.
  13. The ram on the box i run now is maxed when doing the rendering and the photoshop converting and rendering its also 8gb of ddr3 though in a dell SFF i7-3770 crap box lol.... work provided, so I may do some more monitoring and see, but I am leaning towards the 16gb and then if needed I can always add a second 16gb kit in the future and use the savings now for a 1tb SSD..... prob sata and then just keep my current 256gb Silicon Power A80, unless I return that too, and if ones in stock get an A80 1tb. I think the nvme drive will make a much nicer perk then 2 drives, 1 boot 1 sata, and def. nicer then a spinner in there.
  14. Intel build, now a i5-9400F should be a little less expensive, and for 40 more you can get an 8gb rx580 which is what i would consider doing in your position, its that is feasible. Again, these are about $80 over your budget but I think you would be much happier then using a ryzen 2200G chip that your paying partially for the extra gpu onboard but not even going to use it since your using a dedicated card.
