  1. All the fans spin normally (PSU, CPU, GPU and case) Ive tryed to reach the BIOS with the new card but freezes before I can get in. The Medion and intel logo (with the "press DEL to enter BIOS..." text are shown on screen but seems its irresponsive at that point Ive tryed booting without card, with it badly socketed just ti see what happens and the "beep" sequence chages from one short beep every 15 secs or so to one long beep and two short beeps. Where did you saw that? do they suggest any fix? Ive tryed switching to UEFI in boot sequence but didnt help either Again thanks in advance
  2. Hi thank you for replying! Ive pluged and unpluged the GPU many times and nothing looks out of place. I plug the GTX and starts properly then change to RTX and doesnt boot, back to GTX no problem... My PSU is suposed to be 800W and its suposed to work with a 500W one but dont know if missing something here
  3. Hi and thank you for your responses Ive tryed updating the BIOS (not sure if did it right) using this tool: https://www.medion.com/gb/service/_lightbox/treiber_details.php?did=10128&hgt=1186 Boot sequency changed to the default but dont know if this is the same as resetting CMOS PC didnt boot with RTX 2060 anyway. Any other suggestion? Thanks!
  4. I have bought a cheap RXT 2060 in a sale (EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 XC) but when I install it in the system it doesnt boots I get to the Medion/Intel logo screen but after a pause I get a short beep and gets stuck I dont know if Im doing something wrong, if the GPU is defective or if is that my PC just cant handle this GPU Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz Motherboard: Medion MSI ms-7728 (or something like that) Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 OC WindForce RAM: 8GB (2x 4GB DDR3) Powersource: Tacens Radix VII AG 800W 80 Plus Silver Drives: SSD 500Gb HDD 1T Case: NOX Hummer VX If I plug in the GTX960 boots without problem but simply doesnt boot with the RTX2060 Please any advice wold be greatly wellcome
  5. I haven't any experience with AMD, never had any GPU or CPU Not closed to that option but I was told my powersource was not that good and Ive seen videos about that and seems I has a high power needs, What do you think? And regards the price. This better than a 1660Ti? for 25€ more is worth considering a GTX2060? Sorry but I am completly ignorant in AMD 390x is a processor, motherboard...? Thank you in advance!
  6. Thanks for the replies! I do have an SSD (500Gb) As for the CPU/Motherboard combo... which one for about 300€? do you think ill notice a performance increase or is more geared towards future improvements? In regards RAM the motherboard only has 2 sockets so I would have to change it or trash the RAM I have and buy 2x8GB This is the cheapest one from those manufacturers I have found and is refurbished: https://www.pccomponentes.com/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2060-oc-6gb-gddr6-reacondicionado
  7. Hi all! First sorry for my english its not my first language and havent practiced in years, and thank for any help or advice you can give me, oh, and sorry for the length of the post Budget & Location: About 300€. Location Europe (Spain) Aim: Mainly gaming and VR with Oculus Rift, and some photoshop for illustration Monitors: I currently have a 1080p monitor, not planning to upgrade soon Peripherals: Not really needing any upgrade here Why are you upgrading?: I have to play most modern games in medium to get good framerates, and I cant even play some games with Oculus because framerates make me feel sick and have to stop playing I bought a pre-built system some years ago and I have updated it whenever I was able to here and there (mainly the GPU). Im not too saavy in computer parts so maybe my build is a complete disaster now Current specs: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz Motherboard: Medion MSI ms-7728 (or something like that) Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 OC WindForce RAM: 8GB (2x 4GB DDR3) Powersource: Tacens Radix VII AG 800W 80 Plus Silver Drives: SSD 500Gb HDD 1T Case: NOX Hummer VX I've been happy with the performance of the computer till last year when I had the chance to get a quite cheap 2nd hand Oculus Rift and I started noticing I couldn play some games and experiences comfortably (due to having to lower too much graphics quality or due to low framerates). Now Im thinking its time to upgrade it, and (to me) the logical choice is upgrading once more the GPU, and here is the first problem... there are sooooo many chipsets, models, brands, etc. in the 300/400€ bracket that the more I read the more lost I found myself. I was thinking to get the RTX2060 Foundes Edition but its out of stock since day 1 (and in the limit of my budget with 369€). There are other RTX2060 from 360€ like this one but Im not sure if they will be crappy manufacturers or if they have any tradeoff beeing cheaper than the FE. Then I looked at GTX1060 and GTX1070, The first (GTX 1060) is availabe from 200€ but I dont know if it would be a big improvement and if I change it now wont be able tu upgrade again in a while. And there is a ton of references. The second (GTX 1070) feels too expensive and with similar prices to the RTX2060 Now Ive learnt that something like GTX 1660 is comming in the price range of 300€ but know nothing about it. If its below 300€, could it be a good option? My second problem is. will that new GPU bottleneck with the rest of the system? is there other update that will get me a beter performance increase for those 300€ than upgrading the GPU? Thank you very much for your replyes and advice!
