And give your ethernet cables a good shake to get all the data out too! Sometimes they get backed up with excess data and need a good cleaning now and again.

Should I use the steel wool or the wire brush on the sensor? I don't want to scratch it.

Wire brush on the lens, steel wool on the sensor. That seems to be the best combo against dust. /s

I mean as long as you take it apart and let everything dry and don't break anything in the process then you should be fine.
