Had one of those incidents yesterday when removing the DRP4.

 

CPU was stuck to the underside. Was a bit spooky but then remembered, "PGA lol"

    Still work afterwards? Seems hit or miss weather or not issues arise after reinstallation.

    That's good.

     

    Trying to remember if it was my old Phenom rig when I ripped it out of the socket or my FX-8150...still worked afterwords. I did rip an old Pentium chip out but that's because the TIM solidified into glue.

     

    Now I'm on TR 1st Gen. LGA sockets FTW!. Too bad it's pointless now for me since I've stopped using thermal paste.
