  1. W007, I'm at 200. My starting performance was awful, but things are finally moving somewhat better
  2. Kind of sad how under utilized my gear is even with breaking refresh cool downs, not to mention upload failures, servers turning down WU from cards that have been under clocked for even more stability etc. Running a 2080+ 10 cores of my 3900x, 5700xt water cooled + a 3950x with 14 cores worth of threads, and a 5600xt + 4790k with 2 cores in. Having trouble breaking 2 mil with a setup that should be pushing closer to 4
  3. anyone miss any days due to upload issues and lack of WU? Closest I came was a 1 WU day near the start so far
  4. my folding stats are also a mess, there's also a dead spot where I got sick of trying to get the client to upload finished work or get new work. I feel like everyone's will look like this to some extent with some people having horseshoes up their ass getting WU and having little issues uploading
  5. Struggling to force uploads to retry, no point in folding if all my work stays local until it expires and gets reassigned. Would seem like the servers are struggling to accept work
  6. back when it came out my 4790k and 970 had no problems or glitches. Playing through it now with newer hardware has been interesting. I get weird glitches using vulkan with my navi gpu's and when changing graphics settings sometimes the game just takes a fit and crashes requiring clean configs to even get running again
  7. Well that's fuun, I've had my fair share of crashes etc playing the game on my 5700xt myself and going to the user/saved games/id software/doom and deleting the config files usually helps the pc sort itself out either that or you could do a driver reinstall edit: path is actually *system drive*/users/*your user name*/saved games/id software/base
  8. They've had a few false starts in terms of servers sending out work units for me, fell asleep to 100% usage across the board and woke up to silence
  9. When you're setting up the cpu slot I would set up shy of your full 20 threads, maybe 18 or so, so that you have some cpu overhead for feeding the gpu
  10. been getting decent amount of work orders for my gpu, haven't got more than a hand full of cpu work units for my 3900x and 3950x though. I tried dropping my ram tuning and changing the available cores around without much luck. Unfortunate to not be leveraging 28 cpu cores minus the 2 cores worth of threads I set aside to feed the single gpu each
  11. My own cpu is sitting unloved by the WU server regardless of what I try, sadly my 3950x spends more time idling than doing any work
  12. I doubt that will be able to push much, it's actually quite comparable to my ultrabook's cpu and I don't fold on that weak chip either. If you're dead set on folding with that processor but want to keep using the computer you'll have to change the number of available threads in the advance controls. I'm sure that xeon is more than capable of feeding a graphics card or two in folding though, assuming you have a gpu to spare
  13. what sort of cpu are you dealing with? What's your observed usage? Estimated time to finish? Cpu folding is a bit finicky and not as rewarding on a points basis, work units are written with certain numbers of threads in mind so they don't always scale nicely. Depending on your cpu you might be better off just with gpu folding
  14. considering how difficult it is to get wu at this point I would only cancel if you're having a hardware issue. If you absolutely have to cancel the work unit you can remove the slot it's on and wait till your pc drops it. The work unit not being for Corona virus isn't a good reason to drop the work unit, all your doing is making even more work for the overworked F@H servers
  15. Seems like the servers are starting to free up a little bit, got 3 gpu WU on the go now. We shall see what happens once I finish these ones
