I didn't want it to turn it off (nothing plugged into it) but if I didn't turn it off, the next time the power came back I would not receive a notification since the device status didn't change my use case: I just want to receive a notification on my phone when the power comes back (We lose power constantly)

Found an easy solution: I have a Tapo smart plug, I used IFTTT to send me a notification when the power came back on, and it's working nicely Note: if you want try this you need to set the default plug status to ON, and in IFTTT (IF the Device is on THEN Turn it off AND send a Notification)
