you can monitor cpu and gpu usage in task manager or with msi afterburner while gaming. if you see your cpu frequently staying at 100%, then you'd definitely benefit from an upgrade. amd recently launched the 1600AF, which is very similar to the 2600,  and its $85 on amazon. I would go for that.

I'd say that the stutter and lag is because of your cpu because its only got 2 cores and 4 threads. I've got a pentium g4560 (2c,4t) and i get some stutter but not too much in some of those games. I'd say that an upgrade to maybe a ryzen 5 2600 would maybe get rid of the stutter but take that with a pinch of salt as im basing this off of prior knowledge. Just a side question, what speed is your ram and what other programs do you tend to have open while playing? Because especially on the lowest settings that i'd presume would be either 720 or 1080p, you'd still get atleast 30-40fps stable.

It "should" do fine for 720p 30fps, that is if you are using obs ndi or something. My thoughts are that you are gaming on your main pc then outputting the stream to the secondary. I'm able to stream 720p 48fps with a pentium g4560 (and gt 1030) aswell as obviously playing the game.

It once again, "should" be enough if it's only obs running when you stream.

That's pretty wierd. I get ~60 fps with my GT 1030 (at 1080p medium). I'd suggest checking cpu/gpu/ram usage whilst in game. If it's not being utilised fully then i don't know whats wrong but that's a wierd problem.

Also...What resolution are you at? 1080p i'm guessing. I'd say to check Nvidia control panel aswell as just a little while ago i started getting ~35fps on half life 2 and realised that i was supersampling to 3840x2160 so see if that's doing anything?

it looks fine. If i were you, i'd go for dual channel memory (2x4) and maybe try to get a 240gb ssd as my 120gb ssd got filled up quick. What country are you in?

well overall the core 2 quad is better as you can still game on it fine and it is better for rendering. Some games don't run well on a dual core. GTA V would 'RUN' on my core 2 duo e8400 but it had lots of texture loading issues etc whereas a quad core doesn't really have those problems. A quad core will be able to render videos faster aswell.

Well....100% isn't amazing i'd prefer high/low 90's but it's alright. Most it'll do is shorten the cards lifespan by a few days/weeks (maybe even just hours). RLY not that much as long as temperatures are fine.
My personal gpu is kept between 90-97% usage and it doesn't go above 67 degrees celcius.

Ummm...i'm not linus but any ddr4 ram is fine, you do although want the fastest ram possible with AMD as it really helps performance.
What are your actual specs though?
