  1. Update incase someone wanted to know the follow up: Taking out the GPU, it was apparently sticky. And that's when my friend told me a big piece of information. They apparently spilled soda on their desk, and without knowing it some liquid probably touched the GPU, is what I'm guessing. We are gonna try cleaning it with alcohol and see if that fixes it or we'll just get a new GPU. Thank you all for the help with all this, I really appreciate all the help. Thank you.
  2. Thank you for the information, I will tell them that
  3. Okay thank you for the answer, will check out the logs
  4. We are going to try putting the card in another pc, and see if the problem is still there.
  5. Thank you for the answer I appreciate the help. The problem is not actually mine, it's a friends pc and I'm trying to help since they know nothing about pcs. And they insist on not downloading HWINFO because it looks sketchy to them, so not much more to do I guess. Would you know of something I could try to do if HWINFO is showing the same thing as on GPU-Z? Incase I convince them in the coming week. Or if you could point me in the right direction. Thank you so much for pointing out the weird power draw.
  6. Hey thank you for the reply, as for the sensor log how do I check that? Do I press the "log to file" box, oh and I downloaded HWINFO just now, as I didn't have it before and I'm not sure what to look for to be honest. Thank you again this is the most help I've gotten so far.
  7. Hey, my gtx 1060 3gb is stuck at 139 mhz, even under load. I did my research but didn't find much of use. The perfcap is on PWR so I'm guessing it is trying to draw more power? Their seems to be voltage going through the 6 pin too. The pictures I provided is while running a game.
  8. We tried all the pc parts on another motherboard and it worked, thank you all for the help, I got a lot of really helpful comments
  9. We tried resetting CMOS just now, according to the manual of this motherboard, and still same thing. Tomorrow we are going to try some stuff like taking ram from another pc, switching psu with another one, and some other stuff, just gonna try everything that comes to mind even if it's far fetched. I feel like my friend must have broken something without realizing it when changing ssd, because it's feels pretty weird that it would just stop posting even after changing back to the old ssd. Thank you so much for the help, and tips so far, it means a lot.
  10. We tried trouble shooting it like that and nothing changed, both ram sticks by themselves in each of the slots. This all happened after changing ssd, they couldn't remember nudging anything. We also made sure all the cables sat all the way in. Even tried changing back to the old ssd. So basically one fan is not spinning, when the others are, and I just learned that the ssd they changed had windows on it, while the new one didn't, does that change anything? Could we try resseting cmos?
  11. I found out that the name of the motherboard is "msip-rem-msq-z97-p", and how do I troubleshoot the memory? Does it mean it's the ram? We unplugged the ram and plugged it in again same issue
  12. My friend has a motherboard with no name, and it doesn't turn on it beeps in morse code 1 long beep and 2 short ones on repeat. One of the top case fans doesn't spin, but everything else turns on every other fan and lights are on. But the pc doesn't post. Could it be the dust? The pc worked fine an hour ago. My friend put in a new ssd and after that it did all the above stuff, and they changed back to the old ssd but it still did the above stuff.
  13. Hello, I just built my pc in a new case I just got. It's a Pure Base 500fx. The fans are, Be Quiet! - Light Wings 140mm, and 120mm PWM,RGB. And the case also got it's own RGB on the front. All the RGB are hooked up to a controller. What I need help with is controlling the speed of the fans, too run a bit quieter. And I'm hoping to be able, to control the RGB on each fan, since they are hooked up to a controller it should work? I tried using SignalRGB, everything but my h115i RGB pro AIO works on it, and since I can't use ICUE when using SignalRGB, I can't control the pump, and fans for my AIO. So basically, I would like to be able to change, RGB on individual fans/or all if it doesn't work. And control my fans to run quieter, I can hear them through my headset. And I saw on reviews that they should run very quiet. Thank you in advance, I look forward to some help!
