  1. Hello everyone, I just purchased and installed a Sound Blaster AE-5 plus and I love it! I originally was using my motherboard audio which is an MSI B550 Gaming Plus, and the audio on this board was terrible. When I was playing games using motherboard audio the sound would get so quiet when explosions would happen. I would not recommend using the built in audio on the B550 Gaming Plus board. The difference between mobo audio and a sound card is very noticeable I am finding out. My question is: Should I uninstall the motherboard Realtek audio drivers after I installed my new sound card? I uninstalled the Realtek audio application already, but I am wondering if I should uninstall the driver specifically?
  2. Good to know that you for the information and putting my mind at ease! I noticed an improvement put this tested memory in compared to the old one, but yeah I am going to try to sell it on eBay to recoup the cost that was a good ideal!
  3. Hello everyone, I just replaced my RAM today with sticks that were on my Motherboards QVL list. My old RAM that I had was not on the QVL list had issues. I could only run the old RAM sticks in XMP 1 mode, and if I turned off XMP and tried to boot the computer it would be stuck in an endless cycle of rebooting itself. The new RAM sticks that are on my Motherboards QVL list I can run with or without XMP just fine and everything runs great. My question is, can RAM that is not on my Motherboards QVL list cause a bottleneck in my computer?
  4. I am running the default XMP profile which is running my RAM at 3200. I tried turning it off again and my PC continues to restart, but when its on it my computer is normal. If they dont get the voltage they need to run how would I change that? I dont know how to overclock besides switching to XMP in the BIOS. Could it be my powersupply that might not be supplying my sticks of RAM with enough Voltage?
  5. Hello Guys, I have an Asus Strix z390-e motherboard, and some bestbuy gskill ram 16gb. I normally run my system with XMP1 enabled. Tonight I found out that Intel recommends DDR-2666 memory for the intel i7-9700k, so I decided to turn off XMP1. After I turned off XMP my computer started to randomly reboot when there was a load. I thought that weird because the only change I made was disabling XMP. I re-enabled XMP and now my computer runs normally. Any ideas on why it's doing that? Is my mobo or RAM starting to fail, or a corrupt BIOS image?
  6. I am curious if the i7-9700k supports quad channel memory! Hopefully someone can explain. thanks all!
  7. I will give that a shot, I was reading the Nvidia forums and there are people having the same trouble. I was also going to try installing different versions of the drivers at home. This is the forum I was reading https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1075081/geforce-rtx-20-series/black-screen-with-rtx-2080-ti-after-restarting-pc/2/
  8. If my graphics card was starting to die, do you think there would be more symptoms? Thats the strange thing for me is that I was running 1809 all this month on the 430.64 driver with no problems. I went to turn on my pc last night and I was greeted with the black screen. I dont even get a mouse cursor or any kind of image.
  9. Hello, I have also tried this step as well. After I clean install windows I leave my pc disconnect from the network so I can clean install the Nvidia drivers, and it goes to the black screen as well. Just typing that I wonder if there is something wrong with the 430.64 driver? Do you think if I put a different Nvidia card in there I would get the same results?
  10. Hello Guys, I am running into a really frustrating problem. I have an Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti, and right now I am on windows 1903. The computer does POST, I can get into the BIOS, and I can get into safe mode, so it seems like the RTX 2080 Ti is functioning. Whenever I boot into windows normally and windows automatically installs the nvidia driver I get a black screen and nothing else, there are no error messages and I can't do anything. I have to force shut down my computer 3 times to get into Windows RE, and from there I boot into safe mode, once I am in safe mode I run DDU to completely clean out the Nvidia driver, and reboot to go into normal windows mode. I can use the computer for about 5-10 minutes and after that Windows will reinstall the Nvidia drivers, and I will get the black screen and I will need to repeat the steps above. Right now the driver I am downloading straight from Nvidia is 430.64. I tried to install the standard 430.64 in safe mode, but windows will not let me due to it being safe mode. I download the 430.64 DHC driver, and I am able to install the DHC drivers from safe mode successfully, but when I reboot I still get the black screen. I have tried clean installing 1903, and I have tried clean installing 1803, but I still get the black screen on the normal windows side. Right now I am getting 1809 from my work and I will try to clean install that one. I dont know what to do guys, I really need my computer and i am hoping someone can help. I have contacted Nvidia and they told me to boot into safe mode, run DDU, and try reinstalling the driver from the normal windows boot, but I have tried this multiple times and it hasn't worked. My computer was working fine until last night, so I dont understand why I would get the black screen out of no where.
  11. Thanks guys for your fast responses! I am the main driver in my car so I am extra careful on the road making sure not to break hard and watching out for pot holes. I would imagine tempered glass is meant to withstand a lot of heat, because of how it is made. I just wanted to make sure this is my first brand new case. I am upgrading from a case that was made in 2006, so it is 13 years old! I am excited but I probably wont be able to rebuild my computer until late Friday.
  12. Hello, I just bought a new case, and I don't have anywhere to put it in my studio apartment just yet, so I have the case in the trunk of my car. Is it okay to leave a tempered glass case in 80 degree Fahrenheit weather while I make room for it, or should I bring inside into my office temporarily?
  13. I have a FE RTX 2080 Ti. I found out that while playing Metro Exodus that my GPU temps spike up to 82 degrees Celsius. I had to adjust the fan curve using MSi afterburner. That game makes my gpu run super hot.
  14. Elder Scrolls Online is a good leveling up game, Path of Exiles is good, world of warcraft.
  15. Hello, I know someone else already replied but this is NZXT CAM. I really like it because it gives you other stats besides temp.
  16. Thanks for the reply guys! I run my processor, and GPU stock. I unfortunately do not know how to overclock anything.
  17. Hello all, I am just curious if these are normal operation temps for an i7-9700k as show on top, and RTX 2080 Ti on the bottom of the picture. the 61 degrees Celsius is when I was gaming (The Evil Within 2). I am using the Corsair H60 Aio cooler, and had to re-do my thermal paste due to a Motherboard upgrade, so I just want to make sure everything looks normal. Thanks Guys!
  18. Hello, When I installed my brand new build, with a Corsair Aio cooler the Hydro Series H60. I have noticed that my temps bounce from 30c to 40, 50 back down to 30c. I used the stock thermal paste that came with the cooler, but what else could cause temps to bounce around like that, and what can I do to fix this?
  19. sorry about that, the student credential at my university is a certificate that you can print out that gives banks everything they need to give you a student loan, or loan in general. It is used for verification purposes that the person who holds it is actually a student. Sorry for the confusion. I have a student card, but it the email they specifically asked for a schedule. I am taking 1 semester off for work, but I still am an "active student".
  20. well the student credential had everything they asked for. It had my school name, dates, my name, when I enrolled when my graduate date is. They still turned it down saying that it didn't have the required information, because they wanted my school schedule and I sent them a email and said that I went through their check list and the forum has everything they ask for a more.
  21. I gave up on Spotify. I am a student and I have a verified student credential that major banks use to loan students thousands of dollars, but for some reason that wasn't good enough for Spotify to renew my student subscription, so I cancelled it.
  22. I think you are right. Here is the English version http://www.bcmcom.com/bcm_product_RX67q.html
