  1. Quick update - the laptop arrived today. Upon start-up it recognized multiple WiFi networks. Once it started up I confirmed the presence of an Intel Dual Band Wireless - AC 7260. As I expected, the lack of WiFi was a typo in the listing. I will admit that I do not expect a mistake like this from Dell.
  2. No other model info is available from Dell. I get the basic list of specs & condition grade only. I decided it was likely a listing error and went ahead with the purchase. For the price, having to purchase & install a mini-PCIE card is no big deal. I was just hoping to know sooner rather than later so I could make whatever purchases I need to. Based on what I know, a Bluetooth mini-PCIE card without WiFi does not exist. If it does, we will both look like a fool.
  3. I am looking into purchasing an off-lease Dell Latitude E6540. The specs show: Wireless LAN Not Included Bluetooth Module Bluetooth 4.0 Is this possible? After looking around on line, I cannot find a Bluetooth module that doesn't include WiFi capabilities. If it doesn't have WiFi and I decided to add it, will I also need an antenna or does dell automatically install them in all of the laptops?
  4. Awesome! Thanks. Yes, I realize this drive is overkill, loud, and power hungry, but long term & worry free use is my main concern. The price on this drive beat out a comparable WD Blue by $10, so it completely made sense to me. The "run really hot" comment is a little concerning. Do I need to worry about it getting too hot in the external enclosure? I guess I never really considered a drive as something that generated significant heat.
  5. Dumb question from an old idiot. Quick story - I have an older Seagate external 3.5" HDD that was dropped. This was utilized as a backup for my PC. This is a SATA drive in an enclosure utilizing a USB 3.0 as the interface. Instead of buying a complete new unit, I decided to swap out the HDD & started looking for a new HDD. I set out looking for WD black (should last as long as I will ever need it) when I found a deal on a WD RE4. Having never heard of these, some quick research showed that it was built to last longer than the WD black. I moved forward with the purchase and decided to do a little more research after the purchase, only to find out that this is a RAID enabled drive. I have been able to figure out what RAID is, but I haven't been able to figure out if this drive will work for what I plan to use it for (a simple Windows 10 backup drive) and if the data will be easily recoverable in the event that I ever need it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
