Newmaxx's SSD Spreadsheet. Very useful so that you don't have to guess on which SSDs have DRAM and which don't.

I also personally find the Kingston A400 to be much more reliable than the 970 pro. See what subjectivity does without any facts such as failure rates?

Honestly, I retract my CX450 recommendation. Since it doesn't come with a 6pin and the pure power 11 400W does

Build quality and the numbers on an oscope/multimeter are two different things. Jonnyguru, Mask, Rexper, Orion, Stefan Payne and a few others are the most competenent enough to judge build quality.

trolling or for real? There is no way anyone could realistically think that the pure power is anywhere close to rmx in quality...
ACRF primary topology puts it behind the Corsair CX non M in quality

I do not believe noise will be much of an issue, given that 1660ti+3600 consume like 200-250W max during gaming

    Garbage

Not garbage, but it's still on the lower end of PSU. Why get that when you cuold get a CX450 for cheaper, with a more modern half bridge LLC primary topology?

Group reg, skip. Still better than the s12ii/m12ii garbage tho..

Pure power 11, being an upgraded raider II iirc, is worse than the  Corsair CX. Corsair CX is similar to base CWT GPS, and Formula is a heavily upgraded GPS. You can figure it out from there.

hello_there_123 reacted to Princess Luna in VA vs. IPS | Panel wars
Nowadays the latest VA panels by Samsung and LG are a better pick than IPS.

These panels solved all issues regarding GTG and Input Lag so you will not have any meaningful latency nor ghosting on the screen, furthermore they have improved color accuracy and viewing angles to be pretty much on pair with IPS.

Meanwhile VA does not suffer from IPS Glow, it has far less issues with backlight bleed, it has waaaaay superior contrast ratios and thus far more deeper blacks.

VA is arguably superior purchase than IPS nowadays provided it's the right VA screen, I could validate it myself comparing my old IPS Acer X34 to my current VA Viotek 34CN (both are 3440x1440p100hz) and I do prefer the experience on the VA Viotek (uses Samsung VA Panel).

NOW with all that said, 2560x1440p is a 27inch resolution, it looks bad 32inch as it starts to pixelate and the 32inch 16:9 screen size is arguably bad so even if I believe VA>IPS here I will advise on the Aorus AD27QD for being the correct screen size for its resolution.

    https://www.computerbase.de/2017-07/cooler-master-cougar-xfx-zalman-netzteil-test/

That is a review of the XFX XT Bronze, based on the very Seasonic GB Bronze platform the M12II used, and the original S12 used back in 2009.
Most notably in that review is that cross loads put the voltage out of specification (i.e the every day load), and lacks OTP (and doesn't have any pseudo implementation of it).
It doesn't take a genius to understand something that is a decade old is not a good fit for modern systems, like how you wouldn't match a GTX 280 with a Ryzen 5, but I might retract that comment due to this circumstance.

hello_there_123 reacted to Suika in Wait or Buy now?
Well, the Pascal encoder was behind x264 if I recall, though I haven't done my own qualitative comparison. Turing's encoder, however, is more on par with x264, if not surpasses it in some tests. EposVox does some thorough testing on streaming, I'm not sure on the recording results, however.

As far as streaming is concerned, the RX 5700 is not worth considering. As far as recording, if you can work with HEVC, I hear it's fine, but I don't trust the h.264 encoder at all.

Yes. Same platform, exact same components of the platform (same switchers, same diodes, same supervisors, etc - nothing changed), same fan, even the casing and cables are the same. It's exactly the same thing except the "XFX XT" branding on the side.

hello_there_123 reacted to OrionFOTL in Can my Seasonic M12II 620w PSU handle Aorus 2070super
There are some problems with you linking that RHTX page, but XFX XT's situation is confusing enough, so it's alright.

First of all, the RHTX page lists the first, original revision of XFX XT series. Meanwhile, @Matsozetex linked a review of the second revision, so that's what we're currently talking about and what Falc0n is trying to dispute - not the first revision listed at RHTX.

Second of all, the RHTX page says the first revision is Eco Plus series, which is indeed a different thing than S12II Bronze, so that would confirm @FALC0N's claim that it "isn't an S12II".

Now third of all... that RHTX page is actually incorrect (like in several other places). The first revision of XFX XT is not a Seasonic Eco Plus. In fact, it isn't even Seasonic at all. It's manufactured by Shenzhen Rui Sheng Yuan Technology, using a very undersized design shared with Hydance CT series, and some very lame errors on the label.
I wrote an article 3.5 years ago where I detailed all the complicated things going on with that series and explained most of everything there is to know (I wasn't allowed to share some other details): http://www.orionpsudb.com/news/the-mystery-of-xfx-budget-xt-line-solved-oem-and-platform-discovered

Finally, since we're actually talking about XFX XT Second Revision, not the first edition: the current XFX XT *is* an Seasonic S12II Bronze.

So to summarize: RHTX wrong. XFX XT 1st edition was Shenzhen RSY, platform Hydance CT. XFX XT 2nd edition (reviewed) is Seasonic, platform S12II Bronze.

Cybenetics only has data on the MWE Bronze V2 units, not the MWE Gold. The MWE Bronze V2 is Gospower (according to the Cybenetics reports).
There's two versions of the Cooler Master MWE Gold - Fixed cable & Fully Modular. Though, looking at the images on the website it appears they're both the same aside from the modular connectors.

There's a better look at the MWE Gold here, but I can't tell who the OEM is. https://pcper.com/2019/01/cooler-master-mwe-gold-750w-full-modular-power-supply-review/3/

Probably doesn't help that there are 34 SKUs in the Cooler Master "MWE" lineup. ?‍♂️
