Are these SSDs from unknown (to me) brands any good?
hello_there_123 replied to CaptainPlanet's topic in Storage Devices
3 of those don't have reviews so I can't comment on them, but the Tcsunbow X3 usually will be very fast, to the point where the average consumer will not notice the difference between it and say an 860 evo. Do your research before commenting. -

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1B27_j9NDPU3cNlj2HKcrfpJKHkOf-Oi1DbuuQva2gT4/edit#gid=0 Newmaxx's SSD Spreadsheet. Very useful so that you don't have to guess on which SSDs have DRAM and which don't. -
Bet? If you're gonna quote all the members who made the PSU tier list, may as well mention Seon123 while you're at it...

For OP's case I would get a 660p/P1 whichever is cheaper over the more expensive E12/SM2262/EN drives. Not a great option when the higher quality CX550 is much cheaper... TXM is a bit more if you desire semi/fullmod

That's a really expensive price for an upgraded Raider II,, and you dont really need semimod/mod because the meshify c's cable management is so good... Bitfenix formula gold 550 $70 on newegg.

Why wouldn't it work on the test?
-
I also personally find the Kingston A400 to be much more reliable than the 970 pro. See what subjectivity does without any facts such as failure rates?
-
Oh look, here's a decent Phison E12 drive that has similar-ish performance to the 970 plus for almost half the cost https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/2sdxFT/silicon-power-1-tb-m2-2280-solid-state-drive-sp001tbp34a80m28

You're agreeing with me here.
-
Yes, the manufacturer measured PEAK SUSTAINED SEQ QD32 with probably BINNED NAND and/or controller. Most consumers only care about 4K QD1 rand r/w. That's where the E16 drives are much closer to the E12 drives than the manufacturer's rated r/w would suggest.
-
Don't base speeds off the manufacturer's advertised r/w. They advertise peak sustained seq QD32, which nets the highest r/w but most consumers will never dream of doing that intensive of a workload. The most important consumer metric is 4k QD1 rand r/w.
-
Those are more than likely peak sustained sequential QD32 write speeds, which are the one advertised to consumers. The average joe won't notice the difference between those speeds obviously, and IMO (well not my opinion, Aegis's really, I just agree with him) putting 2 E12 drives in RAID is better than getting a single E16 drive.

"6+2 pin" is an 8 pin. "6 pin" will be labeled separately if it has a 6 pin. ONly having an 8 pin makes it incompatible with a ton of GPUs, even low wattage one like RX 5700, pcpartpicker accounts for this
-
Honestly, I retract my CX450 recommendation. Since it doesn't come with a 6pin and the pure power 11 400W does
-
Build quality and the numbers on an oscope/multimeter are two different things. Jonnyguru, Mask, Rexper, Orion, Stefan Payne and a few others are the most competenent enough to judge build quality.
-
gpus like 120-150W, cpu 70W, RAM 10W. That's with max OC on all parts btw
-
LOL trolling or for real? There is no way anyone could realistically think that the pure power is anywhere close to rmx in quality... ACRF primary topology puts it behind the Corsair CX non M in quality
-
bet u didnt know the CX450 is 45 pounds in the UK https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP-9020120-UK-CX450-Bronze-Supply/dp/B06WW51XBX I do not believe noise will be much of an issue, given that 1660ti+3600 consume like 200-250W max during gaming Garbage Not garbage, but it's still on the lower end of PSU. Why get that when you cuold get a CX450 for cheaper, with a more modern half bridge LLC primary topology? Group reg, skip. Still better than the s12ii/m12ii garbage tho.. Another trash group reg, skip again

Pure power 11, being an upgraded raider II iirc, is worse than the Corsair CX. Corsair CX is similar to base CWT GPS, and Formula is a heavily upgraded GPS. You can figure it out from there.
