  1. Thanks! That makes sense...
  2. My 3900x is cooled by the stock wraith prism. All seems fine temp and performance wise. It however does make an annoying humming sound periodically. As i am typing this post it has actually stopped making the sound. Any ideas what the cause is???
  3. The wraith prisms performance is good enough for me. I already have the parts. In any case the question was about the case.
  4. Hi, i can get a SilverStone Fortress for 20 euros. I’m building a computer with a ryzen 3900x, Asus X570 gaming wifi mobo, and a pny 2080 super blower gpu. Would the SilverStone be a good home to these??? I am using the amd stock cooler for the cpu
  5. I was wondering whether titan x makes any sense in 2019. I just ordered a rtx 2080 and started regretting it...
  6. What do you think? This is the ceiling of my budget. I need multicore and nvidia. Software is: c4d, adobe aftereffects and premiere. Not much gaming. 7. @JoostinOnline the problem with amd is lack of compatibility with octane renderer. There is simply more around for nvidia xhe to their market share. But i suppose it depends on your application and area or work. Using primarily c4d i felt pretty limited using fire pro on my old trashcan mac. The firepros were amazingbut there was and still is a lack of support for amd on render engines i was interested in. Prorender has implemented but to say it sucjs is sn understatement.
  8. I suppose i could wait, but you reckon there will be much improvement?
  9. I would do amd but cuda cores offer more in terms of software flexibilty ( octane etc ).
  10. @JoostinOnline so would you recommend the 980ti over 1660ti/2060/2070 as well?? Do the cuda cores compensate for lower clock speeds???
  11. Thanks!! I was worried the lower clockspeeds in the 980ti would do me in!! Would i need sli support for multi gpu?
  12. So i am very temped to save some money buying a 1950x over the newer 2950x. I figure that money can go towards a better mobo or more ram...my application is multithreaded productivity ( vray, c4d ). are there many issues in the 1950x that have been resolved in the 2950x, or is it just a slight improvement in performance???
