  1. The tests were at 100% fan speed. So unless you're running at 1.5v and trying to OC up to 5.5Ghz then you're not going to get even close to 100% even with intel coolers.
  2. Ha joke's on me...because....I can't even......upgrade. *heavy sigh*
  3. If it's not a new MATX case then I already lost interest.
  4. If you like claw grip then the cm storm spawn is a great choice.
  5. I don't think that they realize that no one care about the APU market to buy and upgrade every generation. Yes, I know that people buy them but until I see use over an Athlon with a fast discrete GPU then they're dead to me. Also the FX line is never getting updated no matter what they say it's just bs. "in 2016 we're releasing a new FX line" but when you read into the fine print its really just"We're releasing new APUs on par with the old FX line now with nipple twisters!". I know its very cynical, sad, and depressing its just true. Yes, this is coming from a guy who has an Athlon and an APU >.>
  6. My vote goes to the Arc mini R2 because of the top rad space and I clicked other because my Node 804 is just asking to be watercooled. (you can probably tell that I'm a Fractal fanboy)
  7. How did 4K come to 24" before 1440p did?
  8. Maybe an X99 LE? X99 sli? something. Or was this just the mock up for the original X99 FTW and Classified?
  9. Long story short: It was BF3 release night< I'd just got a watercooling kit and middle of the night some dude snuck into my room and took the crap.
  10. My budget is roughly $1000 but only meant for my needs for the money.
  11. So far I've already got the mobo and heatsink. It is mostly used for gaming but the only reason my family payed $2200 on the old system was because I was doing heavy 3d work(yes as a 10 year old).
  12. So 4 years ago my $2200 X58 system was stolen and since then I've had no real PC to fall back on. Recently I've come across some more money (via Pitch In) and I've planned my return to an actual PC. So here are the parts: CPU: X4 860k MOBO: MSI A88XM Gaming(bought) RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB 1866 CHASIS: Corsair 350D GPU: R9 285(MSI hasn't released theirs yet so I'm pretty upset about that) CPU: Cooler:Enermax ETS-T40 BK(bought) PSU: Fractal Telsa R2 650w HDD: 1tb seagate(and a 250gb) SSD: AMD R7 240GB(I mean I can get it for cheap) Extras: Silverstone sleeved cables, a plethora of Be Quiet! fans, and a 650 as a physx card(yes I'm aware of Nvidia disabling hybrid physx I'm just not going to update my drivers) So what do you guys think? Please let me know. Location: US Budget: $1000 is(already have MOBO and Heatsink) PS: I'm not new to computers and/or building but I just need some input for my return from a 4 year hiatus.
