I think a thinkpad would be good but I currently have a Lenovo legion y530 but I’m trying to find a powerful enough laptop where I can take it with me on the go and dock it up like a desktop at home. I have tried both the stealth and blade 15 but still can’t decide.

I’m thinking about getting a Razer Blade laptop but I’m not sure if I should get the stealth with the eGPU or the 15 advanced with the new optical switches. I’m also wondering if the pro 17 is any good at all. Does anyone have a preference?

I want to remove the hdd after transferring windows to the usb flash drive, add the SSD and install windows on it. After that works, I want to reinstall the hdd and format it as if I got the SSD in the laptop first. I’ve already backed up my files so I want a fresh reinstall as if it was a factory reset machine. Are there any ways for me to format the hard drive after SSD windows install or do I need a program to do that?

Ok, whats the minimum capacity on the usb flash drive that you would recommend for me to get when getting the boot drive since I have seen like usb drives being used to update car multimedia systems and the files are small but they recommend certain capacities max?

If I do a clean install, I have to reset the laptop and get the file for the USB boot drive right? If so, do I have to reinstall the programs and drivers that came with the laptop like Lenovo Vantage?

I currently have a Lenovo Legion Y530 with a 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD and a 16GB Intel Optane H10 Memory occupying the M.2 SSD slot. I want to remove the Optane drive and replace it with an NVMe SSD while keeping the HDD. Is there any way I can make the SSD the Windows boot drive while keeping the data on the HDD and do I have to remove any software and drivers from the Optane drive installed on the laptop?

I have the i7-8750H, 4gb GTX 1050 Ti, 60Hz display, 16gb DDR4 RAM (dual-channel out of the box), and 1 TB Seagate Barracuda Pro with 16gb Intel Optane Memory. Have you had issues where with the wifi cutting off when you first got yours? Also, are you able to charge when you're above 95% battery capacity? I can only charge when I'm at 94% or lower and I've been trying to find a way to disable this since I don't want to turn on my laptop and wait for it to drain before charging and gaming.

Other than the CPU and GPU differences, they both have a 144Hz display, 16gb DDR4 2666MHz RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, and they're both priced at $1800. Should I get the one with the better CPU or GPU?

Well, I have already used Malwarebytes and Avast antivirus hence my saying of 90% sure that I got rid of it. I don't feel like anyone has taken control of my system or stolen anything yet but this Cortana thing just happens randomly and I don't know if the virus is back or not.

Does anyone get random Cortana popups with even more random questions when you don't ask for it or you're nowhere near the Cortana button? This has been happening since three weeks ago and it occurs about twice a week. I'm 90% sure that I've gotten a trojan horse like three months ago but I've believed that I removed it. If it is a trojan horse issue, does anyone know how to completely remove it without resetting your system? I'm using an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53.
