Notorious XOC's Achievements

  1. i might avoid the FE model of the 3090 then whenever they become easily available in a few months (i can use the vram for rendering). the heat has me nervous cause i do need it to be stable.
  2. I read the one from igorslab. And that is what kind prompted this post. They only make mention of the 3080s modules which is on the gpu die side right with the large heat sink? So I am wondering on the 3090 is a backplate really gonna help for the backside modules or should it have some heatpipes?
  3. I am usually just a lurker, but I haven't found anything on this topic. I was going over some of the 3090 PCB photo and was wondering. Is a backplate sufficient enough cooling for the rear memory modules over the 3090 cards? would anyone have temps of these rear modules while the cards running? what would the long term effects look like if it isn't?
