@PrincessHeinz57 If you like ice cream, a place to definitely go check out is La Casa Gelato. They have something like 260 flavors on offer at once, and a catalog of over 500. It's pretty packed in the summer, but they offer small spoon samples of any flavor before you buy. It's a must stop place IMO.
I do, My kid has a severe nut/peanut allergy so I would feel bad eating ice cream in front of him. I may sneak though.

Thank you everyone! It will be a work in progress.

I think when it gets closer we should start a thread with each of the times and if people want to ride share we can. Does Canada have party buses? Because that would be super fun!

I just got this error as well. Did you ever figure it out? I do have Asus Aura.

I want to start doing some stuff on YouTube. Last night I did a test stream. Playing TF2. I was wondering if anyone else did that could give me pointers or if we want to support each others channels?

I would like to see Linus suffer. But, I'm not sure what the first half of your post has to do with the second half.
It was my first post, lol. I was introducing myself. Sorry.

I have the ASUS VZ239H-W 23 inch and I LOVE it. It is the Eye Care model so it helps with fatigue. The Alienware is made for gaming. I would really just look at reviews.

Come on guys, We can do it!!!!

Hey everybody, I was just wondering if there was anyone going to the LTX BYOC alone or with friends that would wanna sit together and maybe play on the same CS/DOTA/whatevergame team. I can even send you pics to prove im not super greasy or anything haha, I live pretty close to where the event is hosted and just don't have any friends going to the BYOC part and don't want to play alone.
You live close to the event? So we can all come stay with you. lol.

I'm not sure they're going to want people actually camping out and sleeping in the event hall. Though if you're gonna pull an all nighter, shouldn't be a problem.
Though, on reflection, the LTX site doesn't make any clarifications about sleeping in the event hall for the BYOC area. It's an area setup for a 500 PC LAN though, so I can't imagine it'll be comfortable to find a place to sleep there, but perhaps a corner and a sleeping bag will be sufficient.
LOCK IN!!!! lol Those used to be fun when I was younger. Probably not so much now. I get cranky if I don't have at least 4 hours sleep.

I think what OP is trying to say is that he wants to spend the night at the convention instead of getting a hotel as well as watch the dreamhack event. There are Hostels within walking distance that are super affordable.

We could start a challenge on https://www.dietbet.com/ You win money. I would join. I was already planning on getting in shape for the trip. @CPotter If LMG set it up you would get a kick back.

I hate Luke’s loud laugh with every fiber of my body. Just closed the latest WAN show tab for good. Everytime is a pain. And god forbid one watched the WAN show on a TV without headphones: worse than p0rn!
I wonder if in alternate reality where Luke’s cringey (also boss-pleasing) loud laugh wasn’t a thing if:
- LMG would be successful anyway
- Luke’s would keep his job for so long
- Floatplane would even exist
probably YES to all 3. Maybe LMG would even make more money, who knows. But no, the sacred signature Luke’s laugh must remain a staple to appeal to tweens and bros. No matter if it annoys the F out of regular people and RIP headphone users (headphones one has to use because of The Laugh in the first place!).
I hope, so hope, that somewhere, sometimes, some sponsor considering LMG dropped them or will drop them because of The Laugh.
rant over
I love his laugh! Who HURT you? If you don't like them, why watch them or post in their forum?

I've got a few questions - I bought a BYOC ticket, do I need to buy a 2 day pass too? I'm confused because on tixr the ticket is shown as only 'BYOC ticket' but on ltxexpo it shows the $80 ticket as BYOC + 2 day pass. Also, will monitors be provided at BYOC? Chairs? Peripherals? Not sure what I'm gonna need to bring besides the PC.
@CPotter Made a thread for questions today, you may want to pose your question there.

I was wondering about luggage too since we may try to fly back after the convention. This is one of the reasons why renting a car will be good. I can just put everything in the trunk and not worry about lugging it around the convention.

4 of us went for an AirBNB about a 20 minute drive from the venue. $230 altogether for 2 nights for a 1 bedroom.
AirBNB seems the best bet. I will start looking for outside of Vancouver.

I had thought about Surrey. I need to pull up google maps and see how close it is to the venue. I want to stay a couple of extra days to really see and do Vancouver since we are already spending a lot of money and haven't been to Canada before.

I suggest an AirBNB There are quite a few decently priced ones in Richmond and Burnaby.
Is that pretty close to the convention?

Hey guys! My tickets are purchased. I am still looking for a place to stay. What is everyone else doing? What area are you all staying in? This will be our first time going to Canada so I am pretty lost. It will be my son, sister, and I. I would love to have a view of the water, but it looks like that is the most expensive option. I would also like to be in a safe area. The Canadian stereotype is that everyone in Canada is really nice, so I don't know if there is a dangerous place. Thanks!
Where is everyone staying? Looking for places.

I can't wait to go to China Town. I have read several articles on Pinterest about the food to try in Vancouver and they all mention China Town. I want to try REAL ramen and find good sushi. I also must try Poutine, but since @LinusTech is a connoisseur of all things Poutine, I want to ask him first. I don't want my first Poutine to be subpar.
