I installed an ssd. Samsung Evo plus m.2 nvme. That wouldn't keep it from booting would it?

Yes. Computer has power. Heatsink has power. GPU has power but not booting.

In case that you did end up damaging the old processor, try another AM4 CPU that you may have, or purchase one to use temporarily in order to get the BIOS updated before swapping out with your new processor. I would highly recommend watching an installation tutorial before starting to install another CPU of this socket type.

I've installed a few Ryzen CPUs before in new systems. It was the old CPU stuck to the heatsink, that damaged it. I did try a Ryzen 7 CPU of same gen, it didn't work.

I tried the old alcohol trick provided by Crossfire and now the heatsink and GPU have power but not booting.

@Spotty @GOTSpectrum I know you aren't doing badges for this event but if you did, a little covid model would be pretty cute and a great reminder of the team Folding Team LTT came together as a community  Just in case you change your mind.

It already had the gpu slot, removed the cpu slot. Thanks!!!!

folding specifically for just one thing is against the ToS of folding@home. your selected preference only applies a weighting that you'll get those work units, not a guarantee. as for now, the entirety of FAH has been weighted towards doing the coronavirus WU's, with something like 12-17,000 work units an hour being assigned to them and less than 1000 being assigned to others.

That is what I put, but it said bad gateway. Now it is working. Hopefully I did it right. Yes, I had to request my passkey again. Thanks for your help. It is early and my brain is not working yet.

This is probably going to be a question already asked. I only folding for folding month so I am still new. Where do I find the passkey for the LTT team? Is there a way to fold only for Covid-19?

There were only a small amount of VIP passes. Unfortunately not everyone who wants one is going to get one. This happened to me too. Just keep trying. The LMG Staff are amazing and will do autographs and are more than happy to talk to you, take pics, etc. The office tours are amazing. At the end of our office tour Linus took a few minutes to answer our questions and have one on one time. 

I recommend being early. We got lost in Surrey. You can make a post and put your tour time and see if other people want to travel with you. We took the Sky Train, then a taxi.
