  1. I have a AMD rx570 right now as my main .. but it sucks for AutoCad .. I have in my possession as well .. a nvidia Quadro K2200 can I put them in the same system for the 2 different tasks .. the amd for gaming etc .. the quadro for autocading?
  2. Thanks for the info. I was looking for of more of a range extender instead of a bridge. Looking for ease of use as much as possible and having a second router in the outbuilding isn't ideal for the people there.
  3. Sorry I am in a little bit of a pinch, and I have looked into about 50 different outdoor range extenders and I'm a little lost. I'm trying to help a friend, and he has a barn about 300 feet away from his main house, he needs to get wifi out there. Running a wire isn't an option. So anyone know of the best / easiest to setup range extenders that will cover 300-500 feet (just to be safe) ? Does it have to be mounted on the side of the house? Will something on the second floor on the wall facing the barn be good enough ? Can I keep the same SSID and credentials to avoid different logins for different buildings. Thank you in advance.
  4. So then what's the reason to overclock your base clock? Especially since in most cases you disable the boosting in order to get a higher core clock?
  5. Is it better to have a high base clock ? Or Is it better to turbo up to a higher speed when needed ?
  6. I think if I can game on it for as long as I do and do some cad work on it .. I'll leave it where it is and ignore prime95 for now. Idk what it's doing but it pinned everything at 100%
  7. I ran cinebench 3 times in a row .. didn't get over 65c Hit start on p95 and my fans sounded like they heard a gun shot and started to race ... Hit 88c and crashed on the 4th of 12 tests
  8. Hello all, as the title says .. whats the best way to test an overclock to see if it's actually stable ? i run my pc for brief periods (2-3 hours at a time) and while i can run a couple cinebench r20's in a row without a crash, I wonder if there's anything that I can do to fully test stability. Ryzen 5 3600 OC 4.75ghz @ 1.26 volts
  9. Does anyone know how to mount 2 32" tvs side by side on one mount ? The only mount I've seen was like $500 USD and that seems a bit much. Does anyone have any ideas about how to go about trying to mount two screen side by side (without just leaving them on a big desk .. already got that trying to conserve space)
  10. I'm sure I could push it faster, I just don't feel the need to right now. Maybe later on
  11. I ran a single core test cause I saw it a few times here and I got .. 486 Multi core 3682
  12. I have a cooler master AIO .. Once I adjusted voltage it didn't go over 65C And my base clock is 4.3ghz
  13. I read 1.25 was safe enough .. and tbh if I burn this out just means I can get a 4000 series chip when they come out ..
  14. i changed the CPU core voltage in that pic to 1.25 ran cinebench again and got max temp of 66C and got a score of 3631 hows that ? cause I'm flying blind here.
  15. I'm on auto voltage, just dipping my toe into overclocking and I just adjusted my base clock to 4.3 and put on the xmp profile. I had a different board before that was easier to play with, I'm on a tomahawk max now and it's a little tricky
  16. Hello all, I decided to test the limits of my Cooler master AIO and decided to OC to 4.3Ghz Amd ryzen 5 3600 Under a cinebench test it hit 91C at its max temp. my question : Is that too hot ? without a load my system hovers around 40-50C depending on what I'm doing So aside from some drafting work, I can't imagine my system being pushed harder while gaming than a cinebench test.
  17. Just setup my cooler master LC240E Put fans on both sides in a push pull config And got around 15C cooler than the air cooler I had on a Ryzen 5 3600 I'm excited Overclocking here I come
  18. So don't get the 1000mb plan .. just get like 600 and save a little money ?
  19. Hello all, I'm moving and I'm getting comcast but buying my own modem, I got the SURFboard SBG6950AC2 it says it has DOCSIS speeds up to 686 mbps but wifi AC speeds of 1900 mbps. My question, does that mean I'm capped at a max of 686 total from Comcast (even if i have a 1000mbps plan) ? and that I can transfer files locally at speeds up to 1900mbps ? or That my wifi will be faster than my wired connections ?
  20. i think it was my graphite pad, think I used it too many times. Ambient temps are around 24C in my house right now and i got more than 10c cooler with a new pad. only maxed out at 85c under a full cpu load on cinebench.
  21. Get a fan kit that comes with a powered Hub. My kit came with 3 120mm fans and 2 hubs, one for the RGB one for the fans one wire goes from a fan header into the hub and the hub is powered by a sata connection i think mine can fit 8 fans on one hub, or maybe 6 i dont quite remember. but this way you're not overloading fan headers by attaching too many in one header.
  22. I wish there was a simple 4pin to 3 pin adapter. the ones i've come across are like $50 and I can't tell if they would even do the job properly. But for now I've just unplugged the RGB in the fans, and use the one led strip i have along with the ram for the lighting effect i have now.
  23. same results .. everything is brand new, so I'm not sure whats wrong, but if the temps don't get any lower under load I might use this as justification for my wife to let me buy a AIO.
