Follow this link : https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows11 In the Create Windows 11 Installation Media section, click on the Download Now button. This will download the Media Creation Tool on the computer. You need a USB stick of at least 16GB. Any USB stick should do. Execute the Media Creation Tool. Follow the instructions to Create a Bootable Media on your USB stick. You then have a USB stick with a Windows Installer on it. Boot your computer on the USB stick and follow instructions to install Windows on your boot drive.

Yeah, you can't tell what's on the nvme or the sata drives based on performance.

No, you could play them directly off the sata ssd if you wanted too, and you couldn't tell the difference(depending on the game).

For that use case the 4tb sata ssd you've chosen will work just fine. Although i would still recommend not getting the 500gb drive, As you can get 1tb drives for a similar price, such as: https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Plus-PCIe-NAND-6600MB/dp/B098WL46RS/ref=sr_1_4?crid=274412Z6NVY8S&keywords=1tb%2Bnvme%2Bgen%2B4%2Bdram&qid=1698431462&sprefix=1tb%2Bnvme%2Bgen%2B4%2B%2Caps%2C142&sr=8-4&th=1 ,

If you mean during Steam downloads then that is normal for some games, depending on how they are distributed.  It may download one large file of the game then decompresses it before writing to storage, then it will download the next file.  Smaller files wont have time to ramp up the speed.

Updates are even more prone to doing this.  Even on a top-end PC on some games updates take much longer to patch than to download the patch, or download the whole game from scratch sometimes.

personally i wouldnt just move everything over to another drive because you are going to run into the same problem later when that one fills up. i would get a second much bigger drive than then transfer over everything except the OS and leave that on the first drive. not only will this clear up space for OS updates but also allow your computer to run faster as i have heard that you dont want to load your SSD over 75% as it will start to clow down then.

You should be able to just add another SSD or M.2 and use that as storage while keeping everything you got on the main boot drive. You dont need to install windows or do anything to the other hard drive, just install it in the motherboard.  I dont know what motherboard you got or if you are on a laptop.  Installing an SSD or M.2 is very simple 🙂

For gaming I really love Sennheiser open backs. The Sennheiser HD559 is excellent. They are very comfortable and non-fatiguing. The 559 is sold around $80. There is no need for a headphone amp. Even your phone can power them.

You can also purchase the 599 for $160, but I doubt that it will be a significant upgrade over the 559.

I think the best way to visualize the difference between these two headphones would be by comparing their frequency response. The Y-axis shows the measured loudness of said frequency, and the X-axis shows the dips or elevations in the spectrum. The black line represents neutrality, meaning that there's no tonal coloration and that sounds should play with an accurate and inoffensive nature. Neutrality also allows for faithful reproduction of the original recording, but depending upon your tastes you may prefer a tonally colored presentation. You'll notice in the treble frequencies around 6kHz to 10kHz there is a clear elevation in response on the DT990. This means that sounds within that range will appear exaggerated and potentially fatiguing over long periods of time. This same area measures more subdued on the HE400SE, rendering it more accurate and also less fatiguing.

They also use two different driver types. The DT990 being your typical and most common dynamic driver, and the HE400SE being a planar magnetic driver. Arguments can be made for both technologies, however it really comes down to implementation more than anything. One driver type isn't necessarily better than the other, although planars certainly have more potential being that they're often much thinner, lighter, and faster.

    Simplified:
    Too much treble = pain
Too little treble = missing detail
Neutral treble = just right, and evenly riding the line between both

Definitely right up there, probably one of the easier to recommend cans in this pricerange. Not many competent competitors, although I will make a point of how sharp the DT990 can be at times. The top-end can be a bit shrill, and depending upon your tastes that may or may not be a dealbreaker.

If you'd prefer a more linear and forgiving sound, I'd suggest the HiFiMan HE400SE instead. It's also a little cheaper, and a crazy value right now. I'd choose it over practically anything else until the $200+ range. Better tuning, and similar technical performance to the DT990.

As for mics, the big recommendation is the Antlion ModMic. You can decide for yourself whether you'd prefer the wired/wireless variant, but that's typically the go-to in addition to any other headphone.

It's how the cores communicate with each other. Ideally it will be half the effective memory frequency on Ryzen, otherwise there's a huge memory latency penalty. It's set like that automatically unless the memory frequency is above IIRC 3800MHz. Don't worry about setting that. Just enable XMP and be done with it.

You could clone your drive but a fresh install of your OS on a new drive is the way to go. Don't forget that hard drives are like light bulbs. Not a matter of if they are going to fail but when. I would highly recommend you disconnect your old hard drive when you go about installing your OS on your new drive to avoid potential complications that could arise.

    Good luck.

I added too late to my post that I would just run back down through the wall near the router, under the house and back up through the wall of the room you're trying to get to... Using these...  They come in one and two port designs.

You would run an Ethernet cable somewhat near your room (preferably in your room) then hook up pretty much any working router you can find. I suggest looking at a local second-hand store.

Basically, you are setting up another point for your phone or computer to connect too. If you can at all get a wired connection to your computer though, it would by far be the best option.

As long as you are under 300ft, you are fine without a repeater/extender. You could technically have a max length of 368 ft for cat5e cat6 and cat6a without and signal degradation (with a good cable), but it depends on temperatures and other variables.

It's not like you are running POE or anything, so pretty much any RJ45 compatible cat cable should do the job. Do some research on whether or not it would be cheaper for you to buy the cable and ends separately or buy pre-assembled ones. (you may need a tool to crimp the end of the cat cable if you decide to make it yourself. Make sure to do research on the specific RJ45 ends you buy to see what you need.)

If you can run ethernet directly from the router or internet gateway to your PC, that would give you the fastest and most reliable connection. You don't need a separate access point at your PC if your PC already has an NIC for direct plug-in. However, if you also need WiFi at the PC, a wireless router converted to run in AP mode provides both wired and wireless connectivity.

When running ethernet outdoors, take note of how much length you'll need (try to stay under 100m), any snags along the course of the run (avoid sharp bends, etc), the type of cable (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) and whether or not you need outdoor-rated cable. Outdoor-rated ethernet is a bit more expensive than the regular alternative, but you only need to consider outdoor-rated if the cable will be directly exposed to the elements. Some protection for the regular version can be provided by running within conduit.

DDR4 3600mhz (CL16 or lower). Is the sweet spot for modern Ryzen cpu's like yours. Thanks to AMD Ryzen's Infinity Fabric frequency technology.

I have personally tested and used several kits(MHz): 2666, 3200, 3600 and 4266 variants of different timings. And they have different advantage results based on actual use even if subjected to synthetic loads in benchmarking.

That is why, for your CPU, I suggested for you to get a kit of DDR4 3600mhz(CL16 or lower) if the price difference in your area/country is not that big.

Intel processors on RAMs are of different story.

There’s probably no ping in a faster kit, unless the old kit will na able to clock up to match the speeds, you’ll be stuck at the lower speeds anyways
