Yes, I've done that, my question is if it's safe to do it with a paperclip that is not insulated from your body, but I assume you're saying it is ok because you've recommended a key.

Hey guys, so a friend of mine asked me to fix his computer that wouldn't turn on, after some fiddling I've discovered that his power switch isn't working but when I short the power circuit with a screwdriver the computer turns on normally, now this got me curious so my question is if it's safe/unpleasant/unsafe to just get a paperclip and just short the circuit with your hand to turn on the computer, or if I'll have to manufacture a makeshift jumper with a paperclip and some electrical tape for him until he gets a new case. (No fixing the old one either, veeery old case, he was already thinking about buying a new one) EDIT: Not my main language, so if you find any english mistakes that you'd like to correct be my guest, it'll help me improve.
