  1. I get it. I bought a 2560x1080 29.5 inch ultra wide that's 200hz. Even with a 3070 I have games I can't run at high and get over 144fps
  2. 3440x1440 isn't easy to push. I could see that 1080 struggling.
  3. https://www.amazon.com/MSI-Rapid-IPS-Compatible-Optix-MAG301RF/dp/B096HVSTLG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1ID11EL3DWVCT&keywords=msi+mag301rf&qid=1636151760&sprefix=msi+mag+301rf%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-3 29.5, flat ips, 200hz, 2560x1080 I've had mine a little over a month now and love it. They go on sale for $259 often.
  4. I personally wouldn't do it, not at the prices these things are going for right now and this is coming from a guy who buys stuff for no reason.
  5. Gigabyte m27q is a great monitor. I've used one before.
  6. This is so bad. Has to be a troll post
  7. The m27q is a great monitor. Some people don't like the sub pixel layout on it tho, it makes text look different
  8. I remember seeing someone coming out with a 32 inch 4k 144 hz monitor but can't remember who it was. I know It's coming
  9. Fuma 2 gets my vote. Cheaper and smaller than the other coolers and does the job
  10. Should be fine with the fan splitter. I use them all the time
  11. This isn't a good match at all. First gen Ryzen didn't age well
  12. I haven't tried windows 11 yet. Been thinking about taking the plunge and doing the free upgrade
  13. I'm right there with ya. I don't need a stronger CPU at the moment. The older I get the less games I get into. It sucks but I'm so damn picky about what I play now a days. Everyone raves about this or that and I'm still playing old stuff that would run fine on weaker hardware. For Christ sake I was playing a fishing game last night for 3 hours
  14. Even with a 20% gain I wouldn't switch from what I have. I play siege most of the time and that runs over 250fps on my ultrawide with high settings. I have no reason to upgrade but I am interested in seeing how this goes.
  15. Unfortunately overwatch and valorant I don't think support ultrawide monitors. The other games you play do tho. I got the msi mag301rf from Amazon, I've seen them go for $259 new. It's 29.5 inches. It's the height of a 24 inch monitor but has 25% extra width. Ips flat panel, 200hz and 2560x1080 which isn't as hard to push as 1440p. I love the monitor. I have a 27 inch Dell 2560x1440p TN panel that sits next to it for stuff that isn't ultrawide friendly.
  16. Ive been waiting on actual info on these to come out. Hopefully the early adopter issues aren't too bad and the pricing on ram/motherboards aren't thru the roof
  17. Of what you have listed I would go 10850k and call it a day. 10 core 20 thread should last you a long time before you need to upgrade again. Intel 12th gen isn't cheap, you'll need at the least a new motherboard so +$200 at least plus early adopter issues if they have any.
  18. At the least I'd want an 8 core that's $384, motherboard $200+ ram who knows. Early adopter fees- priceless. This is something I'll gladly skip, I have no reason to upgrade. I am paying attention to it tho, interested how performance will be with this new big little setup.
