Budget? Location? Do you have some parts already or are you building from scratch?
I would highly suggest waiting until July to see what the new Ryzen brings.

like i said, wait for july 7th which is when amd's new CPUs come out. they should provide more performance for similar pricing. just wait for third party reviews before buying. or alternatively wait like a day and ask the forum again. as for motherboard X570 releases on 7/7 too, so wait for that

The RTX 2060. Not only will it perform better, but I'm not sure if the length of that ROG Strix will fit in the Louqe.

The Adata kit is slower frequency but damn it's pretty. I'd opt for that one and chance an overclock to 3200.

Ah ok, makes sense. Your board should handle a significant upgrade. Just maybe not the 3950x. ?

Thank God you have a 2080 coming, as that would be really sad to have a 9900k paired with a 760. This looks great by the way! Maybe tidy up some cable with some zip ties, and then it should look better.

    That’s a good idea too.

    Uh, no, the complete opposite.
Cloning is the easy way out for lazy people that don't want to reinstall everything.

And as expected, taking shortcuts results in more issues in the long run, which is why there are thousands of posts on the internet of people having problems after cloning/migrating.

With DDR3 the fastest most reasonably priced MOBOs will support is 1600mhz.
Your system is just getting tired my man. The 2500k is a solid older chip, but it's an easy replace. The GTX 960 is still a decent lower/med settings 1080p GPU, but a heavy upgrade is not too expensive currently.

Save your money, and rebuild. The 960 will hold you off for now, while you bring the rest of the system into the modern age.

I'll even amend my suggestion above. That MOBO is way overkill for the 3600's TDP.

Later on, slap a decent gpu maybe an RTX 2060 or something in it, slap 8 more gbs of ram in it, then maybe you wanna put a Ryzen 7 2700x in it...
I’d pull the 960 off your old rig and put it in this until you can afford a new gpu.

Not much real world difference, but for $6 approx you might as well get the 3200mhz kit.
