didnt work, the older games still dont work

so recently i got my RX 560 graphics card but i ran into some problems: 1) alot of older games do not launch, when i double click any game icon it says that the game has stopped working. tried reinstalling the games,drivers and tried messing with compability issues and such. newer games like Project Cars 2, CS:GO and BeamNG run just fine. also my older card GT 730, used to run all those with no problem. what is causing this?

i can create any custom resolution in the nvidia control panel

this is a really stupid question but my friend said that if i use bigger resolution than the monitor provides damages it, and i was wondering if that is true. my current monitor runs 1680x1050 and i would really love to run it at 1920x1080 but then what my friend said keeps me away from doing that. so is it safe?

i just need to hook up my monitor to my rx 560

first of all i dont know if this is the right forum ok. so i was wandering around my local retailers for a dvi-d cable for my new graphics card, didnt seem to find any or if i did it was extremely ridicilous pricing. but then i stumbled across a cable where HDMI is on the one end and DVI-D on the other end. would a cable like that work?

if i want to overclock a gpu ( without increasing the core voltage) will it draw more power?
