This is my first time building a PC, so I have some questions. I’m a graphic design student and wanted to be able to work and play some games (don’t need to be in ultra, just a great fps with ok graphics is fine). My current plan is a Ryzen 5 2400G, but does the only 4 cores makes big difference? The 2600 is an option, but I think the integrated graphics card would be great if the GPU (RX580) stops working for some reason (waiting for a new one without the PC working is not a great option so this looks like a great idea for me, does those breaks in a frequency I should think about that?)
I can buy it with a 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz because in the store I’m looking it has a grat deal, but if I add more memory it doesn’t need to be 2400Mhz too, does it? (This sounds like a stupid question, sorry if it really is lol)
About the graphics card, is the “Gigabyte Radeon RX580 Gaming 8GB GDDR5” a great option?
