  1. Budget: Mid Range (600$-1000$) Country: Venezuela Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AutoCAD, SketchUp, high quality 3D rendering Other details: My Boss is open to ideas, I suggested a Ryzen 7 5400G if he wanted to go without a GPU for a while but he would also like options that incluide a GPU. My main idea was something along the lines of - Ryzen 7 5400G - B550 Board (open to suggestions in this area for the brand) - 16 or 32 GB of RAM at 3600Mhz or better (open to options as well) - High rated PSU 850W+ if posible - ~500 Gb SSD or M.2 I'll be waiting for your suggestions, thank you
  2. Hey I actually checked the drives and my HDD (not my boot Drive) seems to be the issue for some reason. Every time it's disconnected the PC turns on and works fine, as soon as I try to boot it with the HDD connected, then it hangs. I tried another HDD to discard a problem with the SATA Port and with the cable and it worked fine. I'll try to see if someone can fix the HDD if not, I'll have to get a new one
  3. The problem happened once again and I checked the status LEDS and the VGA one was turned on. Could this be a problem with my Graphics card?
  4. I usually turn my pc off before I got to sleep. 6 to 8 hours later when I wake up I turn it back on. Since yesterday I've been noticing that the PC gets stuck on the aorus logo and doesn't go further than that, until I manually shut down the PC and turn it back on again and then it works normally.
  5. Hello everyone, after I had issues with my PC a few days ago and I decided that the culprit was my motherboard. I woke up today and said "Maybe I should check my PSU voltages, just to double check something", granted I don't have a top of the line PSU (I wouldn't even call it a mid/low tier PSU) and I would probably change it if I manage to get some spare cash. It's a Rosewill 550W 80+ Bronze, what I was able to afford at the time. So yeah, I decided to check the voltages on the 24 PIN connector with a digital multimiter. I shorted the pins to make the PSU turn on and went on to test voltages on the 3.3V, 5V and 12V rails. The thing is that the values where a little different from the 3.3, 5 and 12V values it should deliver, I know that this might be because the Multimiter tolerance + the quality of the PSU. For example: The 5V rail gave me a voltage of 5.20V, the same could be said of the 12V rail which gave me a voltage of around 12.15-12.20V. But, there weren't any crazy spike, everything stayed on those values The question I have is "simple", is this normal? With those variations could I say that the PSU is faulty or is having issues?
  6. I chose to go for the Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite for my new motherboard since I read some decent reviews (and honestly, the price is quite decent) but noticed that for the same price, at least on Amazon, you can get the B450 Aorus Elite V2, which only has 2 5 star reviews on amazon without any opinions. As far as I could see and research, they're the same board. Is the "V2" Gigabyte version of MSI "MAX"? or are there any other key features that are worth considering on the V2 over the original Elite. Sorry for kinda spamming the forum with motherboard request, but I don't really feel confident enough to go only by my own research.
  7. Yeah I checked all those options and TBH even though some of them seem like really solid boards, the decent amount of "DoA" ratings scare the shit out of me, since I am not able to return a product once bought.
  8. I would go to 150-160$ max, without shippings (I live in Venezuela so I use the Amazon US website and use a third party courier service to bring it here as safely as possible) I have been recommended the B450 TOMAHAW MAX, opinions on it?
  9. Well that F***** sucks. Those are the best options I found. All the B450 options I got either had several 1 star reviews that turned me off or aren't available to buy any time soon.
  10. Current components CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8 Gb 3000 Mhz PSU: Rosewill 550W 80+ Bronze GPU: GTX 1660 Ti My old motherboard was an MSI B450M Bazooka, which apparently died and it's giving me a CPU LED error (which as far as I've read on amazon reviews and such, has happened to other people), if you are interested in knowing what the problem is and what troubleshooting steps I took, you can check this post https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/ju0vs5/pc_turning_off_without_an_apparent_reason/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 Long story short, I want to get a new motherboard and don't want to risk going for MSI again on this attemp, so I'm looking for advice and opinions on the options I got POTENTIAL MOTHERBOARDS CONSIDERED - Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite - Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2 Both motherboards appear on the same amazon page. QUESTIONS - Will the B550 boards listed above work with my Ryzen 5 2400G without any issue? Since I don't plan to upgrade my CPU (I wanted to, but didn't expect my MoBo to die on me) - Between the regular Elite and the Elite V2, which one would be the better option? I'm not interested in overclocking CPU or GPU - As of today, both MoBos stand at 156-160$, are there any better same price/cheaper options out there that you know of?
  11. What is a DS3H? Sorry kinda noob on most terms tech related. I also want ti upgrade my CPU but I don't have enough money for now and buying used is not an options/recommended on my country
  12. Budget (including currency): Open top ideas Country: Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: bluestacks, witcher 3, genshin impact Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Proc: Ryzen 5 2400G PSU: Rosewill 550W 80+ Bronze RAM: Corsair LPX 2x8Gb 3000MHz GPU: GTX 1660Ti In my previous posts I showed a dark and weird spot that my motherboard appears to have and you can check a description of the problem on those posts. Even though the motherboard shows a "CPU debug LED" when it randomly fails, that weird spot makes me think the actual culprit is the motherboard. So I'm looking for new options to fit in my build. I've been recommended these two options but I'm open top ideas: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FKTZC4M?pf_rd_r=SYBFBX0YJMR9AB10P7YG&pf_rd_p=edaba0ee-c2fe-4124-9f5d-b31d6b1bfbee https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B450-AORUS-Thermal-Motherboard/dp/B07GRNSWNR/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1C1RB3AHRFVKA&dchild=1&keywords=gigabyte+b450&qid=1605100316&s=electronics&sprefix=Gygabit%2Celectronics%2C533&sr=1-2
  13. PC turns on and I can work on it for a few minutes before it basically blocks itself off. My keyboard and mouse turno off and the imagine from My monitor dissappear, but the PC is still turned on and fans both from the case, GPU and CPU still spinning. Weird thing is that if I leave my PC on without use, it doesn't turn itself off. Also, as soon a it fails the CPU LED from the motherboard debugger turns on The only way to turn on the PC is by switching the power supply off and on
  14. That weird spot is right behind the VRMs, there was never liquid being dropped on my case or anything. The problems the PC is can he seen in my previous post on this forum. Hopefully someone can tell me if it is actually liquid or a short/burn mark on the PCV
  15. I edited my original post with a picture I took from behind the motherboard (behind the VRMS) to be more specific. That darker spot worries me since I haven't spilled anything on the case, it's literally impossible.
  16. On a side note. My PC has 2 users (My dad and I) i tried leaving the PC on for a while on the "select user" screen and nothing turned off. But as soon as I log-in as either of the users, after a few minutes, everything goes black and unresponsive and MoBo "CPU" DEBUG LED tunes on.
  17. Yes, I've tried that. I also tried disabling A-XMP and internal graphics just in case
  18. Hello everyone ay LTT forum. A few years algo I came here to ask for help on building a PC. Now I come to ask you for help to troubleshoot an issue. PC SPECS: MoBo: MSI B450-M Bazooka CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 Mhz (2x8 GB) PSU: Rosewill 80+ bronze 550W GPU: MSI GTX 1660 Ti Up until a bit earlier today My PC was working just fine, I shut it down before I went to bed, around 7 hours ago. I woke up and turned it and everything seemed fine for the first few minutes, but then, the screen went black, I thought it was because of a snooze function ir something, but then my keyboard wasn't responding (lights turning on when I pressed a key) nor my mouse. I tried to force shut down with the power button, but nothing, I had to shut down everything bu turning off the PSU. I checked everything without the front panel and noticed that when the problem occurs, the CPU led on the EZ DEBUG LED panel on My MoBo turns on. I tried changing the Thermal paste in case it was a cooling issue, but it wasn't that. Thinking it was the GPU (before I saw the CPU LED) I took it off and connected the HDMI to the MoBo HDMI slot, but the problem persisted I sadly have no other PSU/GPU/RAM/MoBo to test it out.
  19. Hello! Honestly, thank you very much for answering this fast! That was one of the best options I saw out there and was wondering one very important thing for me. Do you have the ability to change the RGB to 1 solid color? I am looking to have it only on white (I'm a simple guy) also could pair it with some o-rings, do regular o-rings work with these key switches?
  20. Hello everyone, long time no see! Hope you're all doing well, specially with everything that has been going on. Recently my old membrane keyboard has started to act up and was thinking of changing it, of course I might go for another cheap option without much luxury, but I want to try out a mechanical keyboard since a lot of people seems to fall in love with them (once you go mech you never go beck). Thing is, my budget is limited and I'm very picky, also the fact that as soon as I see a bad review I just get scared to another dimension that it might happen to me. I would appreciate if there is anyone in here with option for a budget 40-60$ mechanical keyboard with red switches (I've read those are the quietest), be it TKL or Full Body. Please, amazon links only, because that's the only store I can use to bring products to my country. Have a nice day everyone! Much love!
  21. Long story short. I like working on damaged hardware for the fun of it and sometimes, if I'm able to do it, repair them, but I've noticed that my dad old toolbox doesn't have what it takes for small works like these, since he worked more on big things (engines, water pumps and such) I am looking to get a multi-bit screwdriver set and had my eye on the iFixit Pro but it seems kind of expensive (I know about the good quality of iFixit) but also, wanted to know about other more "budget" alternatives that could rival or worked just fine that contains prying tools and such.
  22. Hello guys. My PC is built as follows: MSI B450M Bazooka Ryzen 5 2400G Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 Mhz 16Gb (2X8) Rosewill Arc 550W 80+Bronze I was looking at the RAM timings on the corsair website, and noticed that they are exactly the same as the ones selected automatically by the A-XMP profile 2 on my motherboard, EXCEPT the voltage, which is set to auto at 1.328V meanwhile the corsair website advertises (or suggest) 1.35V. I haven't had any crashes or issues. I play OW, Apex, CS:GO, etc and I never had any issues or crashes. I was wondering if I should raise the voltage (since I've never done a stress test) or keep it as it is, since I never had any issues? What could be the problems that can happen?
