  1. Ok so im a little out of my depth, I run a fairly large plex media server as well as several game servers, i am looking into setting up an ssd cache to improve the read and write speeds for my storage drives but i am not sure what software to use, or if it would be beneficial enough compared to the rate it will eat an ssd. my current settup is a ryzen 3600 cpu rx590 gpu , samsung 970evo nvme that runs windows and 4 4tb wd red 5400 rpm storage drives, i have a brand new 500gb samsung sata ssd , what would you guys recommend ?
  2. So I have a Home Server PC I built a little while back with a ryzen 2200g, when i built the pc the main goal was just to run plex for a few of my housemates and myself mostly locally. It has sense grown to about 10 of my friends as well as me hosting Ark Servers , wow Servers and really any private server for a game we feel like playing. Im starting to run into bottlenecks with the lil cpu in that computer. Basically im trying to decide weather i should upgrade it to a gen 3 ryzen 5 chip or if i should upgrade my main pc to a 3rd gen ryzen 7 chip and move my 2700x into the server. I could also buy another 2700x for one of my roommates computers and move the 2600x into the server. Obviously any of them would give me a bit more power but my main goal is to keep my price to performance in a good place and not buy a chip im going to replace again in a few months as well as keeping my system running cool since its an always on, currently sits around 28c idle 38 90% load. What are your opinions ? (I have an unused rx 580 gpu id slot in if i replace the CPU) current Server ryzen 3 2200g 32g corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz Samsung 970 evo 250 nvme 4x4tb Western Digital red 1x2tb Western Digital Black
  3. I used a gaming keyboard and mouse on an old Ryzen laptop from 2012 and it didn't have an issue, if it was a Logitech or Razer mouse you would want to make sure you have their software installed but it should work fine.
  4. So I just built an always on Media PC to run my media server here are the specs ryzen 3 2200g Asus Prime B450M-A Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz 8 gb 500g samsung evo 870 2 wd nas 6tb in Raid My Main question is what sort of cooler i should be running in the long term, right now im running a Wraith Prism that came with a ryzen 7 for one of my other machines. I have a few aftermarket air coolers around and have found some cheap io coolers in the used market . What are your thoughts?
