  1. Ive never delved into custom watercooling. I was contemplating delidding my 2400g to help cooling. I think the new 3000 series are soldered
  2. Going to get some foam pads to stop any vibrations between hdd and psu. Sat measuring up for a window last night with my pencil and ruler and ordered a 2mm thick sheet. So close to being a4 (apart from the corners) 297x190. I have an acryluc cutter and small coping saw so the corners should take 10 mins.. ill have pics when it arrives
  3. Whats the drive size 2.5 or 3.5. I thought putting one sideways near my rad but will block the fan. Drill 2 holes in your adapter and mount it like mine.. will have bring psu forward abit.
  4. Loving the build. I hope mine comes out just as tidy and clean as this.
  5. Still getting used to the fourum and im on my phone hope you see this. Yea is a sf 450w. I brought a silverstone sfx to atx bracket as i got this refurbished and it didnt come with one. You will struggle with 3.5" drive as there just slightly to thick ( well the 500gb wd green was). If you do manage to fit one on the back cage cut the lip support for atx psu and mount it so cables are there just next to psu. In the chopin i used a seagate 4tb portable and took the drive out.. there about 15mm thick. Might use same here and save me some hassle
  6. The holes aligned perfectly
  7. I guess when its said like that it does sound stupid and might be a bad idea but worth a shot.. ill look at a cheapo gpu 1st to see what happens There will be a front 80mm fan that will blow air towards the card that i could mod for 92mm however that would limit my hdd placement. There would also be a 120mm fan on the radiator to aid cooling. I do have a bequiet silent loop from amazon a while ago for 30 quid. My initial thought was to buy a 92mm rad and put it in the back. I only did a test fit of the 780. It has the corsair aio bracket on so was similar thickness to a 2 slot card.. tbh i wasnt expecting it to fit was more curiosity. Update to come shortly for drive placement
  8. Yea its a corsair h100i. Fits fine in the bottom on the first set of fan mounts.. it doesnt support radiators as standard there as the spacing is to wide. There were 2 screws that stick through holding the case feet.. i just removed them. There still supported at either end. The plan hopefully is to have a itx size gpu. The fan on that will help pull air in on the radiator aswell as 1 fan towards the hozes.. I tested with my 780 and was suprised it would work. Just need to work on the 3.5 drive mount. 1 larger drive should be enough.
  9. Hi. Welcome to my build log and some small mods of my cougar qbx. I liked the look of this case since seeing it for sale on overclockers. While i was in undesisive mode it went oos so a used one on ebay was finally brought when it came up. Colour scheme is going to be black and gold. I was concidering white and gold and may go that route in a future build. My intention is to use this as a daily rig, silence and storage is a must. my aim is the new zen cpu and board. Parts: not set in stone. X570 motherboard Ryzen 3000 cpu possibly apu 16gb ddr4 3200+ Rx 570 itx Corsair sf 450W Cougar qbx Noctua nf-12×15 pwm fans Noctua 92mm and 80mm Corsair h100i Asetek 92mm aio Nzxt kraken Ill update this thread regulary but its going to be a slow and steady race. Hope the pic gives you an idea of whats to come.
  10. So i jumped the gun.. My new plex server consits of Inwin chopin Msi b450i Ryzen 2400g Noctua nh l9 128gb m.2 ssd 4tb seagate portable (taken apart) for storage. I had some issues when putting together.. front panel wires are slightly short. Usb n headphone cables wayyy to long and unable to mount a 2nd drive with the cables properly into the dvd caddy. Ive seen mods online for someone making room for a gpu.. however none for a aio.. Ive done a slight mod in preperation.. I have the bequiet pump/block. I just need either a 120 or 240mm radiator.
  11. Hi everyone Im a newb when it comes to am4 and the msi b450i bios, my other rig is a am3 asus system Anyway i have the following built Inwin chopin Msi b450i motherboard with latest bios Ryzen 5 2400g 8gb gskill ddr4 3000 Nh l9a cooler 4tb hdd and 120gb sata ssd My issue is the bios.. any change i make the pc doesnt like it.. exeption is fan speeds. My cpu voltage was set to auto stock speeds and showing 1.4. I set it to 1.3 using bios and ryzen master and it the doesnt boot properly. If anyone has any help or advice it would be great. My goals are Lower cpu voltage while still using c states. Lower temps Put ram to stock speeds. Custom fan curve Maybe a slight overclock Edit. Just ran cinebench. Got upto 80c at 1.55v at 3.9ghz..
  12. How long since you built the pc.. Could be background updates. Saw a video where they changed settings for the internet to say they were capped.. resolved issues like this. Was on win 10 though but worth a shot

  14. Sorry for the double post but another question. As the chopin doesnt fit a gpu would i be able to use for example a ryzen 5 2600 and a cheap gpu on a test bench. Install all i need and then install and boot without the gpu in the chopin. Ive never attempted this before so wanted to ask rather than waste money tryin.
  15. Its a unique case. It was cheap and i loved the look of it.. i was also looking at the cougar qbx to do a build in and mod the case up abit. 4tb will be enough for me at the mo however there is 1 more slot available
  16. Hi everyone. This is my 1st post and im indecisive as what to do. Im currently using an old dell 9010 with 8gb ram and a i5 3570 cpu. As its the smaller version i have a 120gb ssd in place of the dvd drive and replaced the 500gb hdd with a 2tb model, im unable to fit anymore hdds in this case. Now i use this for plex.. watching on my phone, smart tv or xbox the cpu is barely taxed however from another pc in the home its about 30% utilised and this is all at 1080p. I got an inwin chopin for cheap and so unsure if to go latest intel or ryzen wait for new ryzen or just get a cheap 1155 board and new cooler. Based on how its being utilised atm i could go for the cheapest latest cpu however i dont know if there is something im missing. Since the inwin can only take two 2.5 drives i have snagged a deal on a 4tb seagate portable that im going to disect and put in. The other bay could be used for the ssd if i just get a new board or another drive later and use m.2 on a new board. Sorry for the wall of text
