  1. If you have bios flashback try that otherwise if the board is still under warranty RMA it. It seems like a power loss during a bios update, that board isn't coming back without about $20 in bios flashing hardware and a lot of know-how.
  2. If the other SSD is a SATA drive, try to move it or disconnect it. Sometimes when an nvme slot is occupied it will disable some of the data ports or the other way around.
  3. The announcement was nearly 3 months ago. Any one know if they scrapped it or if it's still coming?
  4. It's a compromise on the SSD speed and motherboard mostly.
  5. Edit those were U.S.D sry. This should work https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/xqpbTY I would probably go used at that budget. But a 6 core with a 6500xt should still perform okay. Make sure to do that mail in rebate though.
  6. The drive is writing right now and it is also a 7200 RPM NAS drive, so it makes some sense that I can here it. I do have the front panel of my case off right now (temporary to transfer data) so that could also allow me to hear it more easily
  7. Just bought a new Seagate Ironwolf 8TB drive from Amazon. Currently am writing data to it, but while writing every once in a while it makes this metronome-like noise, it is low-pitched and doesn't sound like the click of a dying hard drive. The drive seems to be working fine right now and smart data seems fine with no reallocated sectors or seek errors. Should I be concerned? I actually bought this drive to backup a drive that is dying right now so if the new drive is dying too, that could be a big problem.
  8. A multimeter is not the be all and end all of figuring out if you have dirty power. It's more the fluctuations of power over time. It could also be your monitor cables, especially if you use long display port or HDMI cables.
  9. Just for future reference its the INF driver and the Management engine driver, you can also get it from intels website if you know how to navigate there driver download page.
  10. Yeah... Seems like a weak CPU memory controller, you see it a lot with these first and second generation controllers. X99 went through the same thing with DDR4 but it was basically ironed out by the time that Skylake chips debuted. Even some of the later X99 chips and boards are okay nowadays.
  11. Realistically their not even away, currently 2:56 in the morning on BC
  12. Install Ryzen master... Might fix it as it sounds like a CPU or board problem
  13. this will put files/pics taken on April 5th 2000 and April 6 2000 into 2000.04
  14. You could use a powershell script of some sorts something like this Get-ChildItem c:\PATH\TO\PICS\*.jpg -Recurse | foreach { $x = $_.LastWriteTime.ToShortDateString() $new_folder_name = Get-Date $x -Format yyyy.MM $des_path = "c:\PATH\TO\PICS\$new_folder_name" if (test-path $des_path){ move-item $_.fullname $des_path } else { new-item -ItemType directory -Path $des_path move-item $_.fullname $des_path } }
