ZigaZz reacted to agent2 in Need help for a Build
Hey there,
I put together a list around the Radeon Pro W5700, as it is a little bit stronger than the RX 5700 and comes with five Mini Displayports 1.4 which can drive 4K displays simultaneously, three 5K and up to one 8K display. I took a CPU (the 2700X) which can handle all the streams with no problems.
PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gd3Dk6
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor ($164.49 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC ATX AM4 Motherboard ($149.97 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($79.98 @ Amazon)
Storage: Silicon Power A80 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($129.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: AMD Radeon Pro W5700 8 GB Video Card ($793.49 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair SPEC-06 ATX Mid Tower Case ($84.99 @ Corsair)
Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($78.36 @ Amazon)
Total: $1481.27
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Good luck and cheers!

The BIOS is the version which the Board came with, i will have a look at that. The RAM is the Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200 2 x 8 Gb. It put them on the 2nd and 4th slot. I put Corsair fake RAM sticks in the other slots. And I am using the XMP Profile of the mainboard for my RAM. Thanks for the answer

have you considered that the overclock might be doing it? The temps don't look bad but some cards just can't overclock for shit, sadly.

Nice build! But I don't think a better gpu isn't gonna help much with streaming. That's mostly cpu and internet bandwidth dependent. You've got a R7 2700 though, so you'll be fine.

international pcpp sites have been bugged lately and only have one single vendor. Right now pt.PCpp only has Globaldata available, which makes for worse value.

Just get a known good unit - SeaSonic Prime or Corsair RMx/HX

OCP. Overcurrent protection was changed from an older focus to the new current one to solve sensetivity issues.
the issue now is that the PSU isnt made for the higher current throughput and it ripples hard when it is run out of sped. this can lead to premature hardware failure/wear.
its not a huge issue, but certainly worth avoiding.

like actually swap the seasonic focus. its got issues you do not want.

I don't have a specific monitor to recommend, but I want to point out some things to look for when buying your display.
First, take a look at the manufacturers dead pixel policy. Some companies won't accept a RMA if your monitor comes with any dead pixels.
Second, find the real-world response time of the display in question. Sometimes a monitor is claimed to have a low response time, such as 1ms, but can only reach that low of a response time if the display's brightness is drastically dimmed.

Um..... What? Whats wrong with a regular laptop.
Ddr3, is super common in laptops, its still used today for a wide range of devices.
So a 150$ HP Probook 6470b that is awful to game on and swapping out the CPU is a "meh" idea as anything worth swapping for is more expencive than the laptop and doesnt enhance the experience at all?

Its amazon spain, but this is a very nice machine to pick up for 700 euroes.

Some reviewers report higher than normal power protection settings for Focus Plus psu. In a well built and balanced system this should not be a concern. But the RMx psu don't have that concern and are arguably as good.

ZigaZz reacted to Zando_ in Build to play 1080p 144hz
If you're good with NVENC encoding (using the GPU instead of the CPU, slight quality hit, doesn't effect performance noticeably) then yeah, an 8600K/9600K or 8700K/9700K. You'll be hitting your full 144fps a lot more with those than the Ryzen. Ryzen would only be at an advantage if you ran CPU encoding.

G.Skill does not list the motherboard on the memory kit QVL. Nor does Asus list the memory kit on the B450M-A memory QVL for Ryzen 2xxx. The memory will run, but it may not be possible to achieve the advertised speed and timings.
You might consider https://www.pcdiga.com/memoria-ram-corsair-vengeance-lpx-16gb-2x8gb-ddr4-3000mhz-cl15-preta instead.

The motherboard is ok. If you intend to overclock the cpu you should consider something better.
An RTX 2080 is overkill for gaming at 1080p even at 144MHz.
Excellent psu. You might also consider the Corsair RM550X.
Not enough information on the memory kit to make a reasonable comment.

aight dont go with these hp enveys and the normie stuff, go old school, not too old, i suggest a hp pavilion m6, [the intel version specifically] they are super customablility friendly, with a simple to open latch that reveals the ram sticks [ddr3, maximum of 16gb] the wifi card and a micro sata so you can get a boot ssd if you want, and the hard drive. when it comes to the io its basically desktop grade with 4 usb ports 3 being usb3 and 1 being usb2, a vga port and a hdmi port for dual monitor support, a lan port if you want faster connection speed, a sd card reader.... ngl i dont use thoes, and finally a cd/dvd reader and writer, it may be old but it packs a punch, it comes stock with 8gb ram, and a 3rd gen i5 [at least thoes are my specs] the hard drive is also 700gb so it can hold alot of your wholsome memes and steam games while having enough space to throw all your other documents at it,
ps the i5 is swapable so if you want a i7 go right ahead.
