  1. I was actually waiting for someone to say this. I was hoping I didn't have to be the one to do it. Yea... 16.9 is dead to me. After going Ultrawide, I will never go back. More detail does not equal, or for that matter, even come close to legitimately seeing more of a scene in my opinion. I'm waiting for a great Ultrawide 120hz panel that doesn't cost a small fortune... that will be fantastic.
  2. To add my two cents, I chose Nvidia because my current case (inwin901) is incredibly small with pathetic intake. I need my components running cool and AMD just hasn't really offered that as of late. If AMD made a powerful, quiet, and power efficient card, I'd have gone for that. Choose the card that suits your needs.
  3. I have to know the final price before I know if I regret it or not. I've been enjoying this card for months now and honestly, when you buy top of the line, you sort of expect this. I'd say the majority of us don't regret a thing because we know exactly what we are getting into. Come 6 more months or so, people will be asking the same question about the 980Ti when a new series launches.
  4. Oh, I see what you're saying. yea, those do look sweet. Will definitely consider it. Thanks
  5. ? I don't really understand how you came to the conclusion about the wiring. I don't think it could get any better unless I sleeved some cables. Cable Management - http://i.imgur.com/NnY0MIv.jpg Also, no, nothing in the loop. It's a colored Mayhem liquid which is only a few months old
  6. DON'T tempt me. I've seen how easily done it is online, I just don't want to tear apart such an expensive card =(
  7. http://i.imgur.com/QDygeSB.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pFCiiTW.jpg Just got my backplate from EVGA and painted it white to match the system. I think it looks quite nice. Sort of adds a "floor" to the build.
  8. GPU manufacturers won't take back cards for not overclocking. It is operating at standard. Standard is out of box, untouched settings. That is all they guarantee.
  9. I don't think a 980Ti is coming for the simple fact that the price point wouldn't make sense for nvidia. a reference design would probably only be a few hundred short from a Titan X, and when you factor in third parties like MSI doing custom PCBs, the price would be more or less identical or even exceed the Titan in price. A 980TI would more or less kill off a card they just released and that wouldn't make much business sense. Jazy two cents was talking about this in one of his podcasts and it actually makes a lot of sense
  10. I didn't feel bad picking the H97 mobo because I basically knew I wasn't going to overclock... but now I regret it with every fiber of my being because I can't UNDERCLOCK =(((
  11. not even a 120, it's a 92mm as that is the size of the exhaust...
  12. I really don't think I'm going to get around that though with this case sadly. One intake and one exhaust... When I'm browsing the net or photoshop, I can't even hear the thing. But start a game up... better turn those speakers up and it seems like it still has to get louder to be where I want =(
  13. So I recently built myself a really nice setup. Pics: http://imgur.com/a/IMvrz However, one thing can not be denied. With a Mini ITX sporting a Titan X, an i7, and one one intake and exhaust... things are going to get hot, even with a custom closed loop on the CPU. Currently when playing games, the Titan X does a PHENOMENAL job keeping cool, despite being in such a closed space. If i ramp the fans up, I can keep it around 63C... but the CPU is another story. it sits at around 85C when doing heavy gaming and that's just not good enough for me Currently I'm using Noctua redux fans. A 120mm 1200 RPM airflow fan in the front, and a 92mm 1600 RPM pressure fan for the rad. I REALLY thought water was going to give me better temps, even with the tiny rad but it seems like I just can't get past these high temps. So What would you guys recommend in terms of fans? Do I really need to go all out and purchase some crazy 3000RPM fan? It's a real shame because I love the look of my system... but it does seem to lose something when you start to game and the thing practically lifts off. I guess that is one of the sacrifices when using a case that was never really designed to use such demanding hardware.
  14. Alright, thank you guys. Yea, I did a bit of modding in my Obsidian, but I'm definitely going to wait for something official for this. I'm not going to make my own.
  15. No good reason at all. I purchased my parts weeks apart, not all at the same time. The CPU was one of the first components I had purchased, but that mobo wound up being on sale weeks later at a local shop (something in the ball park of $50.00 if I remember correctly) So yea, I gave up overclocking to save a few bucks, even though I already had purchased the K Processor. Just really sloppy buying and one of the downsides of not getting everything at once if I'm being honest.
