please fill in the following standard template for requesting builds. we need more info in order to help

    Budget (including currency):

    Country:

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

    Budget: 150,000 PKR i.e 1200 $

    Country: Pakistan

Workload: For gaming and video editing and office work

Other Details: Current CPU Core i3 3rd Gen Processor with GTX 780TI GPU

I want to buy new CPU in next 2 to 3 months

Refresh rate will be around 120 or above

Not exactly sure what you're asking. All CPUs get warm while they're operating. That's why we have heatsinks and fans. The CPU on its own shouldn't be making any noises, that would probably be the fans ramping up as the CPU gets warmer under load.

I know all CPU got hot but I search internet in which people says this issue highly rise in AMD processors. May be I heard wrong.

Not worrying about the budget will get you suggestions for cases more expensive than your entire budget... It's always best to start with your budget, and work from there.

An Antec P7 Window would probably do quite nicely, and shouldn't break the bank. You will need to get 3-4 120mm fans for it though. I recommend the Arctic P12 fans. (very quiet, high static pressure, good bearing, inexpensive)

Please list down some good casings that is mid range in price so I can see my stores which is available.

    Which Obsidian to be precise?
I didn’t read any reviews about Tuf cases but quick look at the design and they look alright , decent amount of air ventilation in front, but imo well overpriced.

Obsidian cases was always good quality.

I am looking for obsidian 500D as I have seen it Sebastian Linus video while Asus Tuf is also seen in his video.

Which he build PC and sale it for 20 $ he picks the Asus Tuf case.

Well, it's not bad... Seems a bit expensive though. A Raidmax ALPHA-WLW would get you similar aesthetics for less than 1/4 the price. (though you wouldn't have USB-C on the front) The price difference is actually enough to get you an entire top-performance RAM set. (2x8GB of Ripjaws V 3600 16-16-16) If you're not limiting yourself to a white case with a window, you can get one that has USB-C on the front for under half the price of the H710i.

Of course, the price differences I mentioned are based on what the manufacturer resale price is, and may be radically different in your country.

How is Asus Tuf Gt and Asus Corsair Obsidian series casings?

You really don't need to go above a 3600. Anything more than that is not going to perceptibly increase your framerate, no matter what GPU you decide to put in it.

I can't make suggestions based on your location, but a 3600 with any X470 or X570 motherboard and 3200-3600 RAM with 16-16-16 timing or better will be in the top 10% of systems, and shouldn't break the bank.

Also suggest casing is NZXT H710i good?

Upgrade the CPU, motherboard, and RAM first. The 780TI is comparable to the RX 580 for performance, and the rest of the system is going to hold you back getting anything more powerful. (noticeable stuttering WILL occur)

Please suggest the cpu to upgrade is it Ryzen 7 3800x or will I go for Ryzen 9 3900x?

Nothing is future proof. Its simply about value for money.

A high end GPU might well still be usable in 2/3/4 years time, but it wont be "high end" after that period of time. Had you paid $1k for a TITAN back in 2013, by 2016, a 1060 costing $300 would be matching its performance.

The RX5700 is excellent value, and seems to be a bit of a sweet spot at the moment.

Yes, you are right. But I match the specs of RTX 2070 super and RX5700 in which 2070 super is faster than 5700.

  10. 2 hours ago, Whiro said:

What’s the rest of your specs? Maybe you gonna be hold back by cpu so to answer properly it’s best to know what else you have in your system right now.

My system specs are Core i3 3rd gen processor with 16 gb ddr3 ram. I want to change both PC and Graphics card but one at a time. So suggest which one will I go first? Person ask me to go graphics card first.

  11. 3 hours ago, Aragorn- said:

The 2070 Super has almost 2080 performance but is a decent amount cheaper, so i think the 2070 is the better option of those two.

A RX5700 might be a more sensible buy though?

But RX5700 is not future proof. I search internet most of the users bought Nvidia graphics instead of AMD Radeon

    GPU first.

While the poor CPU will bottleneck the GPU, you will still get a mighty upgrade over the 750ti. Whereas keeping the poor GPU and pairing it with a fast CPU will gain you almost nothing at all

Hardware unboxed did a comparison video a few years ago showing various CPU's and even a lowly Pentium was keeping up with faster chips with a 1060 in a lot of games. Its very game dependant ofcourse, some games REALLY want more cores, but those games also need more GPU than a 750ti too.

So plz confirm which one will I go for RTX 2080 or RTX 2070.

    Were I you:

2080 is around $700 still, 2070 super is around $500.

    I would:

    Spend:

    $185 on a Ryzen 5 3600

    $110 on a B450 Tomahawk Max

    $70 16gb DDR4 3600 CL16 kit

$300 on an RX 5700 or $320 on an RTX 2060

    $60 on a Corsair CX550

$720-740, only a few dollars more than a 2080, and brings you into the modern era.

I have not much to upgrade both PC an grahics card so I need to upgrade one at a time. So please suggest whether I first upgrade my PC or go for graphics card first.

  14. 14 hours ago, Sorenson said:

I would say look at the 2070 with a core system upgrade. For the new components the best value would be around a ryzen 3600, 16gb (2x8gb) 3000-3600 MHz ram, and a B450 mother board (something like the MSI tomahawk max). You may also need to upgrade your power supply.

if that’s out of your budget, the AMD 5700 and Nvidia 2060 supers and good value cards that would perform well with that build.

I want to upgrade both PC and graphics card but one at a time. So please suggest whether I first upgrade my PC than upgrade graphics card. Because I don't have much budget to upgrade both.

  15. Dear friends, need ur suggestion for PC upgrade. I have Core i3 3rd gen processor and graphics card Nvidia GTX 750ti. Now I want to upgrade graphics card to RTX 2080 or RTX 2070 so plz guide if I only upgrade graphics card or first upgrade system than upgrade graphics card. Also suggest which one of above graphics card is best.

Those seem to be decent boards. The TUF series is obviously not real military grade. It is just a marketing term. All that it means is that there are extra covers and a few things to make the board more resistant to your hand bumping important components etc... when assembling the system, but other than that it is just marketing.

So what is ur thought should I go for Asus boards or Gigabyte. Also confirm model of Asus Tuf or Crosshair VIII. I previously use Gigabyte board and happy with the performance.
