so I toke apart my 18-55mm (pls don't do this you might mess up something)

these pics where done on my 50mm 1.8 probably at f3.5

actually this was more of a test to see what I could take apart and put back together.

I messed up the autofouces switch and had to take it apart multiple times to fix it but it function perfectly now

    I always wondered what the inside of a lens looked like.

     

    Obviously there's glass. Those PCBs look really neat.

    I wish I could dig deeper but it feel like wreaking the glass

    At least they're dirt cheap (if it's a kit lens).

    @dizmo 200 dollars but I can't afford a new lens (I am a highschooler that can't afford that much)

    yes it is a kit lens off of a 60d

    I've taken apart a few 18-55 they are easy. I pulled apart a cheap 35mm F2 lens a few weeks back to remove a broken plastic part

    oh yeah it is. but I work on phones a decent amount

    $200 new maybe, but you can usually get those all day for $40.

    @dizmo oh yeah dirt cheap. the only thing cheaper is like helios44 and yongous 50mm, 35mm
