  1. Hey Friends, I have an ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi with a Ryzen 7 5700G, 32GB 3600 RAM, RX6600 and three of those 75hz Acer 1080p LCDs. My rig was puttering along fine until I did a BIOS update on my MoBo. Now, my displays flash 'input not recognized' until Windows loads. This was only a frustrating 'why isn't my computer perfect' thing until I had a disk crash and now Windows wants to run checkdisk every time it reboots and I am staring at a blank screen. My only solution is to disconnect all outputs from the Graphics card and plug in a DVI to VGA adapter to go to a display (thank the fates I chose an APU...). I read somewhere that it might be TPM causing some weird issue, but I can't find any fix ASUS wasn't any help. Anyone run into this? Thanks in advance!
  2. I have an HP 4000 Pro SFF that I have suped up ala the $69 gaming PC with everything except the quad core (and, ehem, a GTX745....) I purchased a Q9550 per one set of HP specs and it threw out an 1802 error- only to learn they updated their specs for this machine and didn't include that chip.. SOOOO I purchased the fastest quad core identified in the updated list, a q8400 and now I am getting the same thing. This is my first foray into any sort of build, so apologies for any ignorance, but could there be something I am doing wrong, or would a dud-chip throw a 'processor not supported' error? Has anyone else dealt with this issue? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hey friends, Is the Core 2 Quad worth the ~$30 updgrade? I did this for just the cost of the PCIe extension and a pair of tin snips thanks to a couple 'decommissioned' HP 4000 pro SFF's (specs are nearly identical to the Dell they used) my company had and a random GTX 745 I found (literally in the trash can). It ain't playing CS go and GTA V was hilarious ala one of the potato-mode videos, but I have it playing Fallout 4 at around 35fps give or take, and it breezes through games like CIv VI and most of the Total War titles like a champ. I've got it set up with an SSD and 8GB Ram, but the Core 2 duo in there is CONSTANTLY maxed out (even on startup). I'd love to know if anyone dropped in the quad and what your results have been. Thanks!
