I am entirely convinced that Logitech can do no wrong at this point

Depends what you're after sound wise. However I can say I love mine. I would get them.

Whichever one you like the look of. They're both Asetek, so performance wise they're basically identical. Pick whichever one you like the look of, or whichever one is more budget-friendly.

Wolventec reacted to Mad153 in ryzen 2600 vs 1700x
*although the 1700x is identical, if not slightly better, I prefer to buy the newer options as they tend to have higher resale value and amd cares about it more as it is newer. Whether that will ever make a difference?
Probably not.
But I usually feel slightly more secure with gen 2 things. They seem slightly more durable imo.
Will it make a difference? Probably not.

I would get the 2600 as you need the headroom for streaming.

Wolventec reacted to Koxicain in ryzen 2600 vs 1700x
Yeah im currently playing it swinging between 80-100 fps on ultra with RTX 2060.
I have a Ryzen 1500x and no matter the quality CPU usage is pretty much the same.
The Division just have a way it will try to max out your CPU no matter what

I'd personally go with the 2600 and OC that, unless you can get the 1700X for a nice price.

What games?
An i3 can play most games really well. Just not AAA games.

1700x would be better at the same price, if you can i would wait for something like a r5 3600 or whatever it will be

Get the 2600. Zen+ has a bit of improvements compared to 1st gen and they are great overclockers. The 2600 will grant you slightly better gaming performance. More cores is not always better.

If you can wait for 3rd Gen Ryzen then i would really advise doing that, but if you can't then i would pick the 2600 if you're using it for gaming, the improved memory latency is just that much better for gaming.

You could also go for an r3 and upgrade in a few months. You will end up losing some money but you wont need a new mobo

depends on monitor refresh rate, i recommend a 2600 then upgrade to zen 2 as it comes out.
Division 2 is very cpu intensive.

I know the feeling man, I currently have a Ryzen 5 1500x and have to wait till Juli to upgrade mobo and CPU
Ryzen 5 have no problem in Anthem, The Division, PubG etc. If you want to stream aswell its going to be difficult if you use x264.
But with NVENC your fine i can easily stream most games.

So was the first one and if you took away a few cores from the game it would run the same.
And same would go for D2 it just maximises CPU usage so it doesnt throttle.

Wolventec reacted to xg32 in ryzen 2600 vs 1700x
it's way more cpu intensive as the first one, i just tested it
a 2600 would be good enough, unless the 1700 is cheaper.

Get the 3000mhz, you can likely overclock it to match or beat the 3200mhz kit with tinkering with the timings.
