If my timing and latency are good matches for the (mb + CPU) and I set the ram speed in the bios then the 4x8gb should work good when doing VR and multiple game server hosting together right? I didn't plan to do minor if any OC on this build.

Okay I'm getting confused and being dumb here. I typed it up wrong and then typed it even more so wrong when I fixed it. Those are a 2x8gb set to make 16gb and I bought two of them to end up with 32gb. Sorry everyone.

Why 2x 16 and not 4x8? Does spreading the data load across 4x not matter anymore for speed and accuracy?

I've updated my post with things I forgot to say initially. Maybe I could use that power supply in my brother's build. He wants to build a crazy overclocking setup and I would like to get him there.

I tried my best to do the math for power consumption vs efficiency vs overhead. I just decided to play it safe and get a 1,000 watt. I would rather have more overhead power than underpowered. As to the 2 drives. At first it was to save initial upfront cost per component but I will look into a larger size drive instead of two smaller ones.

I have watched a lot of videos from linus and spent a lot of time spec checking back and forth on the hardware I've decided on. I was hoping I could get an idea if I managed to mess it up lol If this build isn't optimal then I'd like the feedback. I'm not on a budget. If the parts dont work I will put them aside for my brothers build. X4, NVMe 1.3, 64L V-NAND MLC, model# (MZ-V7E500BW) {pending} ~Windows 10 Pro 64-bit - No monitor chosen. - Oculus Rift is my favored VR equipment. This is what I came up with and have been buying it for a few months now. Is it well matched up or is it destined for a visit from the screw up fairy?
