  1. Hello world, I have a spare PC with a single 1050Ti mainly used as a heater (running heaven for gpu heat and xtu stress test for gpu heat) tbh but the little 1050Ti (75W) just isnt cutting, I have a gtx 275 (219W) just laying around and since I have a good psu I wanted to ask if it wasnt possible to have both the gpus connected to the same board (that doesnt support sli, only crossfire) with each gpu running a different stresstest. The reason I dont just swap out the 1050ti for the 275 is becasue I do occasionally use it for normal tasks and the 275 is just awfully slow for basically anything these days. I am aware that the 2 cards would only get 8 lanes of pcie but its the heat that matters (its a 10600kf OCed to 5.1Ghz all core). Thanks e.
  2. hello world, My friend has a hp envy 15 x360 and all of a sudden the touch, pen input and camera stopped working, what needs to be done? thanks e.
  3. 1. Yes I have 2 x16 slots tho the cards will have to run in x8 cos my cpu (10600kf) only has 16 lanes of pcie 2. Yea, but the board doesnt support sli 3. Yea 4. I have a 750W straight power 11 from bequiet
  4. Hello world, could I run 2 different nvidia gpus in one rig, say assign one to game and day to day task and use the other one as just extra video out possibly video encoding or rendering? I'd use a 1650 as my main card and a 1050Ti as the secondary, so I think the bandwidth limitations wouldnt even be an issue. I have the second card laying around so why not try to put it to good use? Would the system know which gpu to send the video signal automatically? Thank You very much, Have a good one e.
  5. the 12 inch macbook was bad when it came out...
  6. For the time being it is fine but later down the line I would suggest getting something a little more capable like a 650 or 750w
  7. Technically yes (if ur not gonna be OCing) but it would have to be a good 450w psu, what psu do u wanna use?
  8. Hi, I wanted to ask the following: In school for my finals I need to do a project in my physics class which would consist of a 1200 word essay and some sort of research or data collection about something. I want to link it to computers cos I have a bunch of hardware I can test. I was thinking about checking how different TDPs of coolers affect the temps of a cpu and somehow link it to specific heat capacity, I have tower coolers, dual tower coolers, AIOs. Thank you, e.
  9. would cutom watercooling help? cos my case has decent radiator support
  10. As I said, its just a small OC battle me and my friend are doing
  11. Hello world, I have a 10600kf and I am running a bit of an OCing battle cos we have the same chips and I am running into a hell of a cooling bottleneck. I have tried both a NH-D15 and an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360... neither could tame the beast temps were at alsmost at 100C even with the fans going full blast (both in a Corsair 4000D airflow). What could I do to reduce temps? Thank You, e.
  12. It can output to a external display I have a suspision that it might be a loose connector since he carries the laptop a lot and throws the bag around but Im not sure what is a NVRAM / SMC reset and how do I do it? just some side info, the battery is in poor condition
  13. Hello world, my friend's macbook pro's display stopped outputting a signal. Even when plugged in, the only sign of life is the green indicator LED on the keyboard... What could be causing this? It is pretty urgent cos he has everything on it. Any help is appreciated! (I have conducted countless disassemblies on pcs, laptops, even phones but this is my first macbook) Thank you so much e.
  14. Im here for the science and the stupidity and Im willing to at least try cos Im also a bit bored and this only do me good in the tech department. So how could this be accomplished?
  15. Hello world, my current gaming GPU is a gtx 1050ti (I've had it since the first iteration of my pc back in 2016/17), but I have also had a gtx 660 which I basically found in a dumpster. Could I utilise this second GPU simultaneously with my gtx 1050ti (which would be gaming) while the 660 would be encoding? The rest of my system is a 10600kf and the msi mag z490 edge wifi with 32gb 3200mhz ram. thank you e.
  16. hmmm push pull wont have a huge impact on cpu temps, tht mostly just helps with static pressure... however I would try fitting a NZXT kraken g12 to the GPU, it is basically a adapter for almost any aio to be mounted on a gpu. This will drop temps substantually, I would use a 280 or 240 in the front as intake. It costs like 30eur on amazon. I would definetly look more into it. As for the CPU... I would try to get a refund on the current aio and get the liquid freezer 2 280 from arctic, maybe not the prettiest but it is much thicker and better at cooling that the current corsair aio
  17. Hello world, I need to mount 15mm thick fans to my rad due to clearance issues and I dont know what length screws I would need to screw them in. Thank You, e.
  18. Hello world, I have a choice to make, as stated in the title I am choosing between the bequiet pure base 500dx and corsair 4000d (I was considering the meshify 2 compact but I cant find it at a reasonable price). Reason why is simply because I wasnt something semi compact and semi quiet to house my arctic liquid freezer ii 360. Ideally in with enough push pull cos the rad is thicker than most aios and I just like the idea of it. Thank You e.
  19. quick question, what is the difference between core voltage and core voltage offset?
  20. Im not too noobie to be 100% honest, Ive done GPU and ram OCing in the past however this is the first time Im doing CPU OCing My bad, should have mentioned that
  21. Hello world, I finally upgraded to an i5 10600KF and a MSI MAG Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi. I want it to go as fast as possible and draw as much power as possible simply cos I can and I dont pay electricity lmao and who doesnt want extra FPS? I have a NH-D15 chromax.black on it and the fans barely spin even under intel XTU stress test (TDP at approx 140W) and Im planning on getting an Arctic 420mm AIO, not 240, 420 (3*140mm). I saw that gamersnexus got it to draw 220W at 5.1GHz. Im a noobie to OCing so help would be appreciated:) Thank You e.
  22. Didn't work but thank, I think I can still get a refund on it
