  1. yes i have them in dual channel mode. I've tried all
  2. the pc stays on when the cpu power is unhooked. but still no display
  3. yes, tried all of them with 1 and 2 sticks
  4. MOBO: Asrock X370 Killer sli/ac RAM: 16gb (2x8) G.SKILL FLARE X (F4-2400C15D-16GFXR) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 GPU: XFX Radeon RX 580 8GB PSU: CORSAIR CX650 Its my first PC build, i put it all together in its correct glory and everything lights up (including mobo) and all the fans spin for about 30-35 seconds on average, before shutting off for 2 seconds an repeating. Also no signal to my TV. Things I've tried that didn't work: Removing CMOS battery and doing the cmos thing by moving from pins 1-2 to 2-3, then back to 1-2. Removing ram and GPU separately and together and rebooting. Replacing ram dim slots (all of them). Checked all wire connections. Trying to plug HDMI into motherboard instead of gpu Memory and CPU are on the correct QLV for my mobo Removed and reseated CPU Note that when i took everything out of the case for an out of the box test, i turnd mobo on with 8pin cpu power disconnected and the PC stayed on without shutting off, still no video though. This is really frustrating, ive been buying the parts for this build over the last couple months and i just want to get past this. Im not to experienced in PC building but I believe I havent made any physical mistakes in the process. Maybe its the Power supply? Or maybe the bios isnt updated to boot with my ram? Thanks all of you who take your time to help I tried giving as much info as possible.
  5. my apologies, i took everything out the case and turned it on, did the same thing. i unplugged the 8pin CPU plug and now it stays on, but no screen
  6. my power button is not defective it works @mxk.
  7. Yes I do, like i said before im almost certain its not a physical error on my part.
